I have no idea why people would actually think that book is so good. its so horrible

    I totally agree

Not really as good as it should be. I read the first book, and it was full of the crappiest writing ever.
Way too many adverbs, horrible plot/resolution, and way too much sex/mushy stuff in it to be enjoyable.

Also, the book is like 90 percent passive voice, which is hella boring to read >.<

Yeah I watched the movie because anything with a love story appeals to me....and apparently since over a million people LUUUURVE Twilight it should be good right?

Seriously without being biased I can say that there is absolutely no love story.
Edward and Bella obivously have no idea what real love is.
Nothing in the story shows why she should love him or why he should love her.

It's more of a lust story.
Edward is "hot" and that's why Bella is with him.(Definitely not by my standards though, and you guys know how gay I am)
and I can't stand a love story with ugly people...BELLA IS TOO FUCKING UGLY.

Stephen King: "The real difference is that Jo ( smile.gif ) Rowling is a terrific writer and Stephanie Meyer can't write worth a darn. She's not very good."

If even the great Stephen Hawking says so...

But really, its like all those chick lit books out there with their stupid teen lingo and superficial love, blah blah blah. It disgusts me. Really not worth the hype. You don't see Meg Cabot's books going to all this crap. They're both essentially designed to fleece money from the teenage girl demographic.
    Go Jo!

Why do people parade their inability to read as a proud standard? Is illiteracy not a fallicy? Is it deemed unfashionable to have the desire to attain knowledge and illumination or is it simply the product of modern culture to berate the medium that proves to be the stimulator of imagination, of fantasy and of the magic that is poetry? That which is not found in modern abberants like 'MTV' and 'E!'?

Culture is something to be cultivated, not spurned.

alright... so i had a vague knowledge of what twilight was vaguely about when the first movie came out
i saw the trailer for the 2nd movie, all i got was that the vampire was fighting a werewolf, i'm not sure where the plot comes in here
friend informed me of "twilight in 30 seconds with bunnies" and that made it more confusing
    wikipedia synopsis was still confusing

    beef-rant time!
ok, so why the eff are vampires "attractive"
i mean, they suck blood, unless you're a goth chick, i dont think you'll like the whole gore thing
even animal blood (yes, i managed to figure out that part of twilight) is weird
vampires are meant to be scary, not attractive
just like toothed vagina isn't scary, its hilariously funny
vampires make horror stories, vaginas make comedy.... is what my main point ended up to be... quite weird... shoulda thought it through more thoroughly
point is, i dont know why vampire-romance is such a huge thing
maybe its like one of those "it'll definitely never happen, but its damn hot to think about" things
like every guy's fantasy of hooking up with twin sisters- they're never gonna agree to it, but its sure hot
    /end beef-rant

actually, maybe i should troll the twilight boards
    and use the alias zuolin
or just "promise" zuolin a upsb rsvp if he can troll the twilight boards as long as he can without getting banned
