so i came across some older types of crayola supertip bodies and they work alot better:

here are the supertips (top is new, bottom is old):

    with the caps removed:

here is the original buster with the new supertip body:

here is the buster with the old body instead:

now as ur probably thinking to urself, they dont even look different. but that's the idea. its still a Buster CYL since its a supertip body. the logo on the body is the same. but the difference is that its shorter so its a much more managable mod. also, the comssa cap fits over the end of the old supertip body so the other end is ALOT more stable. with the original CYL, since the cap just meets up with the end of the supertip body and the backcap holds it on, it can bend and flex and dirt gets in there and that was one of my pet peeves... but now its alot more stable, shorter and it spins the exact same as the original.

i have several of these old supertips left so if anyone wants to trade, then talk to me, or just find them wherever.

    just thought id post this...

bahahah These have been in australia for agess lol

I have a 20-pack at home right now XD

and my Lakubo ST mod uses the new ones (check the thread if you want) tongue.gif

But youre right; The new ones are much better. They feel more smooth and IMO, are better for modding... Well, just my opinion.

ALSO. THE NEW BACK CAP FITS ON M&M's

    try it yourself guitrium tongue.gif

haha yah, the only difference on the body from old>new is the taper of the body, thus letting the comssa cap fit onto the actual body itself.
Fairly interesting in the difference, kinda cool to see the actual design evolve.

However this type of effect (body shortening, more stable) can be created from an M&M body with the backcap removed wink.gif

@eccentric: no you don't, you have the new ones. The old one is the one I have in my personal supertip mod that nick loves so much

I've made a spare cyl without the tips using this. Can't really tell the difference when spinning.

I think the newer one is better because it's longer and you can make it shorter but the older ones can't be longer.

I think I found a pretty good sub for the super-tip marker, its called texta smart-tip.

The length (not including caps or back-plug) is 11.6 cm (supertip is 12cm or something). When you sub it with the supertip body on buster cyl its about 21cm, which is about 21.5cm (not a big difference I guess).

The body is really similar, if I were to guess, I would say they are probably the same, excluding the length of course. Additionally, if you're really picky they even sound the same, if you consider that a plus.

isn't it a little smaller for less spinning space?

lol they looked the same to me, it would be nice to have a better fit on the end-caps but... I prefer the longer one anyways (big hands here)

one of them looks fatter though that could give a bit more room for guys doing special mods inside, if you're into that kind of thing cool.gif
