The transition used in doubles is a key component of the video and can be the difference between a good and great one.
We should think of unique and interesting ways to transition between the two spinners.
Post them here. -

i was thinking of aerial transitions, like for example, i do a continuous aerial, and suddenly it changes to, Scott(an example) doing the same aerial and then into the next combo.
another one would be to roll the pen from one end of the table to the next after finishing the combo, then the next video shows the pen rolling towards the next penspinner's hand. he hooks it up off the table and starts his combo. -

how about, one spinner does a continuous combo (i.e. Bak -> FL TA REV)
and the next spinner does the reverse of the same continuous combo (i.e. FL TA -> Rev Bak) -

reverse? doesn't that kill the flow?
unless it's TA ~> Bak Rev cont > TA ~> Bak Rev > 0.5 charge 12, then followed by next spinner doing 0.5 rev charge 12 > Bak ~> FL TA rev cont.
are we allowed to use small video transitions between the clips? -

basically just giving the impression of rewinding the continuous combo, and then explorer another direction.
what do you mean by video transition -

like we use simple fade in and out to make the transitions look smoother.
or are we supposed to leave the clips unedited?
i thought of another one, not sure if this has been used before.
I-sonic > spread fingers transition?
as for the combos themselves, are they just freestyles, or must there be some synergy between the combos? -

I've came up with the transition for two of my doubles videos. I like to do creative, wacky stuff, like the last tst video i did. thinking strictly about trick transitions is restrictive in my opinion.
We should keep our minds open and think of stuff that do not relate to any actual trick transitions at all, and rather pure creative thinking. -

the I-Sonic...or armroll.....or some aerials.....maybe fingerpass....^^!

i just saw that.
that thing where the pen rolled all over is what i was thinking about when i said roll the pen across the table.
but you guys took it to the extreme!! excellent that one. -

I think it would be awesome
If 1 person did a combo
Then someone did the whole thing completely in reverse
and you just put some cheesy little rewind symbol on the video -

that was what i talking about when i said 'synergy'.
the whole combo in 'rewind' mode may look cool. especially if it's 'sped up', as in someone does the first part slowly, then followed by T_N_C going at maximum speed for the rewind part.
just an idea. -

Dathroat's idea is fine...but i just can do if someone not do hard tricks....just smooth..

im liking DaThroats idea, i think that would look sweet but wouldnt you have to have the same pen, same angle, etc to get the full transition effect?
-

the pens have to look more or less the same, and the angles have to be almost identical as well.
also, it would do good to show clearly the starting position of the first combo and then the ending of the next combo, to show that the combo has rewound itself.
but that is the combo itself, what about the transitions? i think the best transition if we are to follow this 'rewinding' idea, would be I-sonic transition or a stall transition, since there is a short pause before all hell breaks loose as the faster rewind takes place.
we should also plan our singles combos. important that we win the first few rounds. -

video effects for a transition are allowed but that's really boring cuz you want to have a transition included in the combos themselves.
