Ok, since I don't really have someone to ask right now, and I don't know where else to ask that, I guess I'll try here:
I'm working on a prog-ish rock (I guess) piece, which has 2 guitars. I got the melody down for the first guitar (the main melody) and now I'm trying to work on the melody for the 2ns guitar (I don't really want it to simply do chords), but my problem is, that the 1st guitar's melody is played kinda low, which doesn't leave me much options for the 2nd guitar melody without making everything sound too heavy or stuffed, and if I'll make the 2nd guitar's melody higher then the 1st guitar's melody, it'll kinda override it (since the human ear hears higher notes more easily, if I'm not mistaken)
I though about simply making the 1st guitar's melody higher, but it makes it slightly uncomfortable to play (the position is slightly uncomfortable)
dunno if I'm even making sense, but anything will help pretty much~ -

1) don make the guitar play big chords, only single notes but fast
2) you can make the 2nd guitar play "pseudo" harmony with lead by playing harmony on the important notes and accompagnment otherwise, use the bass to create rhythm. -

Well, there aren't any chords used =P
But thanks, I'll try that tomorrow ^^
