what do you think ever happend to all of bonkuras pens?
do you think his parents or friends did anything to them?

Buried with him, or in his old room the way he left them.
Something around those lines. I am sure if they are not buried with him, his parents still have them somewhere.
Auctioning them off would be disrespectful.

don't get me wrong, i enjoyed bonkuras shit, but is it neccesary to act like such a huge fucking fan boy over him ? hardly anyone on this board or any other even knew the guy personally, so why is this still being talked about ?

I doubt that his parents would really care about his pen mods. If they kept his room as he left it, they are probably just sitting around, waiting to be thrown out whenever his room is cleaned out.

...wait, was bonkura living with his parents when he died? His stuff may already be thrown away if he was living alone and his place was cleared out.

    Its like...
    the founder of ferarri...
wouldnt' you want to have his car.
obviously you can buy prolly a better car then that because is prolly old.
but to say...that you have his car...its like one of a kind.

and surly bonkura is a legend in pen spinning...one of the biggest idols in pen spinning...wouldn't you want to have his pen..
i guess its just depends on how much you like pen spinning and its community

I don't think it's respectful to imply someone doesn't enjoy penspinning as much when they aren't interested in bonkura's pens.

i think it's more like...how much the person focuses on the pen itself rather than the spinning.
there are people like that for everything that can be owned.
there will always be people that really want collectibles or special editions of something, and people that don't care/don't focus as much on the material object.

    i wasn't saying that
i was just saying a pen belonging to a hero of ours heros (which bonkura is most of our heros) you would want to get your hands on it, for ya...a collectors item. how many people can say...oh i have one of bonkurs KTs, and how many would want to say that...if your not a pen spinner...u'd prolly wont give a damn whos pen it is...but if you are and he is your hero, u'd prolly think much of it.

I think many people would pay a lot for these pens... but why sould the parents sell them? would you sell the favourite stuff of your dead son?

    You are right.
But if I would be good in penspinning (as I am going to be for sure biggrin.gif) I doubt anyone would really care, or consider "some pen" as a important thing to me.

If the pens were entered into the penspining market they would eventually be bought by rich noobs who never post and only know two tricks. I have seen this type of stuff happen before.
If the pens were ever to be given away they would need to prizes for big tornaments or something.

my guesse is that the pens and talent have been lost forever....

I rather think that the PSAJ took care of them somehow, seeing they have atleast had some kind of contact with his parents.

I'd be happier knowing that they just tossed or otherwise treated the same as anything else of his. In the end, they were just some pen mods, nothing magical about them.

Of course, I also don't care about mod collecting in general. tongue.gif

It's be nice if his parents would hold a Bonkura Remebrance Tournament have one of his pens as a prize....

Auctioning or competing for the pens means nothing. If Bonkura had given you one of his pens it would mean something because it means a great spinner had respected you enough to give you his pen, the tool of the trade. If you buy his pens when he has nothing to do with them any more, it only means you have a lot of money. I don't see the point in owning one if it doesn't actually have sentimental value for you. It just would have it for him and no body else can enjoy/appreciate that as much as you could've were you able to say: "Oh this Dr. Kt... A great pen spinner once gave this to me."
