Pen Modifications / Insert vs. Outsert.

Alright I've searched pretty good for this so I feel no shame in making a new topic.
How would one go about applying an insert that won't fall off right away. I've designed and printed it but I can't find any way to make it stay on my pen and not fall off after practicing for like 3 mins.
Any help on this would be nice. -

what? are u trying to put it on the outside of the pen, because thats what it sounds like.

yeah, I heard about from this guy on the radio about pen modding. Not for spinning but just to make your every other normal day pen look nicer. And he mentioned that for non-clear pen bodys that you could put an outsert on it like an insert. But this was on the radio and then the guy was like "You just need a little bit of tape and watch carefully... [rustle of paper] And Voila" So I didn't exactly get what he was saying. And so I thought this would be the best place to ask. Because I came up with a mod but it uses half an RSVP with a G2 body(so it's retractable). So the G2 is tinted so I can't put an insert so I thought that an outsert would be a good replacement but if this isn't possible I will try to find/make a substitute for the tinted G2 body.

or ask in the shoutbox next time.
Theres lots of tutorials.
And before making a new thread, look for pre-existing threads that your question could fit into
