Well, since I live in Israel, it's kind of hard to find any of the pens you use for the more famous mods, like RSVP, and others. so my friend (that spins to) came up with the idea to try and create a mod by cutting 2 Pilot Super Grips (the mechanical pencils, but we might do it with the pens) wichi are our most common pens, and stick them togather somehow. so I was just wondering, will sawingqcutting 2 pens and simply glue them togather will really be wise? :|
Please tell me what you think, and if you have any suggestions, feel free to say them.

So...you want to try to make a vortex mod then? Sure, might as well try. If you can do it without glue, i would recommend that but if you cant find attach them any other way then i suppose you can try gluing it together.

of course its fine, a bunch of ppl glue stuff together an other stuff in their pens but u have to make sure that the glue is pretty strong bcuz sometimes it is unstable if u only use like reagular glue u should use a glue gun which is strong or super glue

Well, I have absolutely no idea what a vortex mod is X:
and I'll try puting them togather without glue, but they might break, so I'll need a bunch of them ><

If you get the pen version and could make it write double sided that'd be really cool.

Try to see if an insert is possible and such too. Make it look nice =)

try cutting a tip of a cap that fits the barrel so it will keep them together laugh.gif

I seriously think that it'll be much easier to make a one-sided mod than to try and fuse 2 ends on a pen together just to make a double-sided mod.

I dont know if in israel do u guys have these pens, but its a nice mod: Faber pen
its a good pen, and u can cut one of them and stick the two parts on the other faber.
then u get a barrell somewhere else and put it on it, then u just put some grips (:

Either make a single sided mod, or get a capped pen and attach another cap to it.

    wow, that's pretty old oO
anyway, thanks for you comments, I tried to make an RSVP MX, but office depot decided that they're not selling RSVP's anymore >.> which means, I'll have to invent a new mod, because I have almost no pens for the known mods -.-
but anyway, I found my self a double capped pen, so I'm ok right now P:
    thanks anyway tongue.gif

the reason many people recommend not using glue is twofold:

certain types of glue cause certain types of plastics to become very brittle. thus, pens break more easily

if you use superglue, it's hard to separate the pieces, which makes salvaging difficult.
