I currently have Cox "High Speed" Internet, and it's been sucking lately.
I'm paying around 50-60 bucks a month for 15 Mbps DL speed and at least 5 Mbps upload speed.
This is what I'm getting on my computer:

It's good speed, but not getting what I'm paying for.
This is what I usually get on my iPod.
The latest test is at the very bottom.

Now the other thing is, I get disconnected at random times, and don't get any connection for days. I have to completely turn off my modem, and router for at least half an hour, then power them back up to get connection. when I do get connection, it's only about for an hour or two and goes away again. And this has been very frustrating for me, and I don't want to deal with their crap anymore.
so tell me, what ISP do you people have?
Or which ones can be more reliable?
    I really need this D:

lol there are different types of at&t dsl. it goes from basic to like elite. i have dsl pro/express i think. good speed for me.

uhh how come it says i can download up to 2.51 mb/s, but when i download i usually get 350 kb/s (internet download manager) and 270-300(firefox default downloader)

dsl is really stable i usually never get dc from internet, maybe once every month or so. but then i can just restart it which takes like 5 mins. comcast is good too.

    I have AT&T, I don't recommend it. I get like 1.3 mb dl speed.

i think cox is pretty good...
    at least in CA
but sometimes when theres an incoming call, wifi gets all messed up
but other than that its fine...

the funny thing is, at apple stores, they have at&t as isp and they get like 40+ mbps lol

Well most people in SB have Cox because they're the only Cable company in SB and they provide Internet as well.
Which means if you have cable with them, Internet s cheaper when you get it.
I don't understand why I get randomly disconnected though.
It pisses me off, especially when I'm in the middle of a game in Halo or something dry.gif
