Alright, I just figured out this today, it works very well.
It's very easy, It doesn't need pictures.
You will need:
Power drill
File
This works with any mod.
1. Cut off the Grip off the g3 and file down the bumps.
2. Take the drill, and Open the drill bit end as wide as possible.
3. Stick the g3 inside, and tighten the drill, but don't tighten it a ton, that may crack the barrel
4. Spin the drill and hold the file to the g3 until it is filed enough to fit your needs!
Tips:
Don't be afraid to spin the drill quickly, but still be careful.
For small increments, do it by hand.
Enjoy your new mod!
For the f1r3fly, this takes about 20 min, maybe less.
YAY! now you won't get carpal tunnel!! -

You now got the danger of filing it too much.
I thought it was going to be some kind of new technique lol.. not using capitals to help you. -

It's a simple fix if you file too much, just a bit of tape.
But if you're smart, and check every 20-30 seconds of filing, it'll be fine... -

Ehhh, seems a bit cumbersome to me, plus you don't get that nice hands on grueling experience, =P. Not that hand sanding/filing/ really takes that long either.
It'd be cool to see this technique used to carve patterns into pens though. To reduce friction or for aesthetics, like on the barrel, or the cap. Thin lines or what not. Maybe a more apealing way than that other technique (i forget what it's called) where you just sand the whole body down... -

The whole point of this is just to reduce time and muscle strain, if you don't wanna use it, then don't... -

i've done that before and it cracked. a dreme + sander is better for safety and product protection reasons

No, the drill bit end is the part where you put the drill bit in not the drill bit itself.
You can twist the end so the hole opens up more so u can put different size drill bits in. -
