    For Elden and I, we go on vacation Dec. 18th, and go back to school Jan. 03.
    I think the 19th would be the best for both of us though.
    I'm pretty sure we're doing it on the weekend, am I correct?
    And as for location, I think we have to figure out how many people are actually going to go, and we need a set date for that.
    So, I wouldn't worry about location for now.

    no 19th is gonna be during the whole school time. its better if its on jan 2 which is on sunday i think. no ones gonna have anything to do that time so just keep the date the same.

    Fool, I just said that that would not be a good date for Elden and I because we have school the next day.
    The 19th is a Saturday, and works for mostly everyone.
    Especially Kam since he asks for Saturday off, drives us home that night, then does more driving on Sunday.

    Costco pizza sounds the best, because some people won't want hambugers. Pizza just seem perfect. I guess we can go in the mall and then later out to the park and chill there.

    Er, well no burgers and hot dogs fall under the category of "grilling", along with other cuts of meat, chicken, fish, vegetables etc. Barbecuing involves things like, beef brisket, pork shoulder, ribs, things that take time to cook.

    But that doesn't really matter because we're probably going to just end up in the Mall. I also like Dan's other point of not doing it the week before Christmas that would just be hell.

    BBQ/potluck is a great idea. I say let people decide to either bring food/drinks/etc., or some money to cover other people's costs. Last time we were a bit short on money, but if we don't rent a place this time, we should be fine.

    Also, the covered areas of the park might be taken. The only way to guarantee we'll have a spot is to rent it, but that obviously involves money.

    Also, have to check the long term weather forecast for Jan if we are going to do it at the park.

    January 2nd is a saturday open
    january 3rd is a sunday, and again it's tough to go before school/work

    I would but I don't really want to because then we're all going to be messed up when we go.

    If you're ok with taking Sunday off, most of us don't even have school on Monday so it should be a pretty good date for the gathering. If needed, I can take over the planning of the gathering.

    And for location, I was thinking Brea Mall for two reasons. One, its free and Pholord and I shonenbatman gets there the earliest to reserve tables, so we should have space to accompany everyone. Two, it gets pretty cold at night, so staying in the park might be a little uncomfortable once it gets later in the day. In addition, by having the mall as our location, we don't have to worry about food because we have the food court.

    Obviously, we're open to suggestions, so feel free to post your ideas.

    Probably being super redundant here, but just wanted to get an "official" message across. The gathering is set for Sunday, December 27th at the Brea Mall. The mall is located at:
    1065 Brea Mall
    Brea, CA 92821

    Feel free to come whenever you want, because either shonenbatman, pholord, or I will be there early to reserve tables. There is no set ending time as well, but it generally goes to around 6 O'clock, maybe later for the veterans.

    We will be located in the mall's food court. Just look around for some people spinning pens if you can't find us. Veterans, we will most likely be sitting at the same place from previous gatherings. There is a slight chance that we might go across the street to the park, so keep that in mind.

    Be sure to bring money for food, and extra money if you want to buy pens/mods from anybody.

    Lastly, as we all know Kam is busy with the PMWT at the moment, which is why I'm in charge of planning this gathering. I have requested that if he has some extra time left, he would make a gathering insert for us. Unlike last time this insert should be free, because we do not have to pay for rent. So keep your fingers crossed, but there are no guarantees on whether we will have an insert this year.
