I know this isn't my best work, but I'm glad some people liked it. Not to make up lame excuses or anything, but I had better ideas...but they turned out to be either 1) too difficult, 2) too time consuming, 3) unethical, or 4) illegal ... lol xD
So, considering this was my first LED mod, I am happy that it didn't suck completely xD Of course, I know it is not that creative, but at least it looks nice? and it spins very well too.
About the overgripping, I had to add extra section of grip on the front for two reasons: balance, and to make the distance between each stopper (the first black ring) the same from the COG. If I didn't do that, the pen would not feel as balanced and "double sided"
@F1r3Fly: I will try to find time. First, i have to really test this mod in different conditions (I finished it on the last day, so only had little time to spin it). Usually I use a mod for two weeks before I find all the problems. Then, have to find ways to fix them, then improve how to make it, then when it's really good...I can make a tutorial ^^
Regarding iMatt...I am really impressed. A color switching pen is not an easy task to do. Even normal LED pens are hard from what I learned (now I have even more respect for K4S xD).
Neptune's mods are just crazy... Sure, it's easier to make, but he balanced the lack of electronic challenge with excellent grip cuts. I really like the effect
On top of that, awesome presentation just makes it even more appealing.
Overall, I think each mod has its pros and cons. Regardless of what the results are, I think each mod has its own merit.
PS: I'm so glad this round is over...Finally getting some good sleep =]
lame -.-
j/k ^^
