    Ok, I have the google redirect virus, where basically clicking any google link redirects you to some gay ass advertising site. does anyone have a program that removes this? it's getting really annoying.

    http://www.xdelbox.com/how-to-remove-google-redirect-virus/

    Step1: Please download ComboFix from Here or Here to your Desktop.

    **Note: In the event you already have Combofix, this is a new version that I need you to download. It is important that it is saved and renamed following this process directly to your desktop**

    1. 1.If you are using Firefox, make sure that your download settings are as follows:
    * Tools->Options->Main tab
    * Set to "Always ask me where to Save the files".
    2. 2.During the download, rename Combofix to Combo-Fix.
    3. 3.It is important you rename Combofix during the download, but not after.
    4. 4.Please do not rename Combofix to other names, but only to the one indicated.

    Step 2:Close any open browsers. Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix
    Step 3:Open notepad and copy/paste the text in the quotebox below into it:

    File::
    c:\windows\system32\winupdate.exe
    c:\windows\system32\winhelper.dll
    c:\windows\system32\AVR09.exe
    c:\Program Files\AdvancedVirusRemover\PAVRM.exe

    Save this as CFScript.txt, in the same location as ComboFix.exe

    Drag CFScript into ComboFix.exe

    ok, apparently it redirects for any search engine.

    i mean i seriously tried, but it's like. google or yahoo, click, redirect, click, redirect. it never works so i need a link to a trusted spyware/malware removal site. that's why i posted here.

    Okay here goes...

    Things you'll need:
    1. Bat or hammer
    2. Screwdriver
    3. Aerosol duster

    Step 1: Open up your computer so you can see everything.

    Step 2: Get your bat or hammer and whack your hard drive until pieces of it come flying loose.

    Step 3: Dust everywhere.

    Step 4: Put your cover on and then you're done!

    Note: There may be some damage to your hardware.

    Follow all these steps and you should be fine.
    Alternatively you can follow Nacho's steps for a safer way to get rid of the virus.
    Note: Get Ad-Aware or something when you're done.
