hey.
i was browsing this one site. //rule1&2 and I spotted this anime "School Rumble" which is romantic comedy. I got hooked up with this style of anime.
Can you recommend me other romance & comedy anime series? No robots, super powers, creatures of any kind...
In return, 3 internetzz for the winner -

omg romantic comedy is like the #1 most popular type in Japan except maybe Shonen. (and hentai?)
if you look at my anime list, at least 80% of what I watch are such type. It doesn't mean I watch them all, because some just suck.
the author of school rumble made another anime called Natsu no Arashi, i don't really like it but it's the same author.
The classic anime of this type is Love Hina. Everybody has watched this.
In the past few years, here are some good examples:
right now, there's Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu, season 1 and 2. It's ok
Sora no Manimani, not really romantic
Princess Lover!
Akane-iro ni Somaru Saka
Hatsukoi Limited
Skip Beat!
Asu no Yoichi
Nodame Cantabile -> one of my favourite because it has classical music
Itazura na Kiss -> i liked this one a lot
Special A
Ah! My Goddess -> it has goddesses, but this is a classical anime
Myself; Yourself -> at the end it's not really comedy
Nagasarete Airantou
Lovely Complex -> i really liked this one
Seto no Hanayome
Tonagura!
Tsuyokiss
Bokura Ga Ita -> not really comedy but this was really good
Yoakemae Yori Ruriiro na
Lamune
Kage Kara Mamoru
Magikano
Suzuka -> amazing anime
Mahoraba -Heartful Days-
Midori no Hibi -> very funy
Maburaho
Yumeria
Ai Yori Aoshi -> another classic anime, season 1 + 2 "enishi"
Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien -> this is not a comedy, but it is still one of the best anime of all times
Green Green -> didn't really liek this
Happy Lesson -> classic anime, season 1 + 2 "advance"
Onegai Twins -> very good, also watch:
Onegai Teacher -> classic
Strawberry Eggs -> pretty good -

Lol i never watched Love Hina. I read the first volume of the manga series, but I never finished it because I didn't have time.
Yea it's pretty crazy how popular a romantic comedy is in Japan. But I bet 90% of the fans are just looking at character instead of enjoying the story. 20% of that 90% will make Hentai spin-offs. 70% of the 90% will read those spin-offs. So I bet if you search online for hentai spin-offs for the anime list you given, you'll find them...A lot.
I guess that's why there's such thing as character plastic models.
Well romantic comedy anime in Japan is straightforward. it's always these character with easily distinguishable personalities (Tundere, Yandere, whatever I don't know what these Japanese geek call each personality) that usually create some sort of "triangle relationship" (i don't know what it's called in English), which one of them have to just give up and this and that. Romantic comedy never ends sadly (for the main character). And all of the characters are "cute" (?). And they usually end up "Dota-bata".
But to be honest, classic romantic comedy was better. But these day, I feel like authors are making this for money purpose than just writing a good one. I haven't finished watching any of those animes you've listed. I just watch first 2 or 3 episodes and just forget it.
It's pretty sad what a drab storyline those guys make. Dull. Not interesting. It's like all of them are the same.
forget my criticism. but i'm just being honest. -

I haven't tried a romantic- comedy anime, but personally, they don't sound interesting, even though they're so popular O_o I guess I'll have to try

well for any popular genre it gets repetitive in japan, very unique animes are rare
