If you haven't noticed, I added some additional stats in the results:
you can see that by # of votes, UPSB has 10, meaning 71% of communities thought UPSB should be in top 8. In comparison, HKPSA has 43% of votes.
Also the correlation table is interesting. It shows which communities tend to agree or disagree. 1 means perfect agreement, -1 means perfect disagreement. -

i guess the results do make sense, its not the judges fault but a big shame to a lot of
the big stars.
FPSB should have made it considering JEB made it. ill have to go over the results later. -

i agree. if spinfo were in, and a couple out it probably would have been a better collab. but i love UPSB and everyone ...so good job
to the spinners, its no ones fault. ONWARDS TO 2012! (doomsday yikes!) -

No UPSB, FPSB, or PPP... I dont care about this WC anymore. GPC is really the only one worth watching :/ In my opinion.

too early to judge
I'm gonna say this: watch out for TWPS. I think they're going to be a motivated, tough team to play against. Will surprise a few.
I called THPSC as being a team to watch for since WC08, they didn't do so well that year, but look where they are now. -

Well, i wasnt judging anything. GPC is the only team left that I really want to watch. Im not interested in thpsc or twps, really..... -

good pen spinners can come from any community, it's too stereotypical to judge a spinner by his community -

What the...?
Our community itself is the worsest one of all (I know of).
Can't imagine how our spinners can be much better... Maybe Alucard, Weatherman left to UPSB ("Frip"). Robert is not spinning anymore.
I think it's the right decision to take the GPC into the WC 2010, but not at the 3rd place after THPSC and JEB. -

When will we receive the differents themes for the battles of the first round?
We are now 2 weeks away from the deadline of the first round... If I am right, it's time for spinners to get themes no?
Moreover... I don't remember exactly about this but when will we know the different lineups and entire teams from all the 8 boards?
2Weeks before the first round or at the deadline of the first round?
Sorry if all of that has already been said but It's difficult to find time for penspinning in this period of the year (univ. exam session =/)
So Thanks -

Oh sorry ... So I was totally wrong =)
When you spoke about the 9 January as date for the round 1, I have understood that it should be the deadline for the first round and so the themes should be choosen two weeks before (today).
Sorry for my missunderstanding because a lot of people who I have talked about the WC understood the same thing than me =)

about jeb:
that kind of team is more dangerous in a tournament than a star-team with kuzu-seven-toro... , IMO.
those guys are really great and i'm happy to see them in world cup ^^ and i think it will be hard to defeat them -

i acutally kind of agree with this statement
I love HAL's spinning, he combines smoothness and difficulty with probably the MOST appealing style in pen spinning today. I expect him to do VERY well in the WC10
I've seen a lot of Forever's new videos, he is smooth but i don't know if he is good enough for WC IMO =/
Ponkotu is amazing and creative and spins light pens very well. 'nuff said.
Sister_R also has an awesome style, and his spreads are amazingly smooth...
Fire@fox has his amazing hybrids, but his style is kinda weird... nice spreads too tho...
Hibachi kinda reminds me of NiA, smooth and puts in hard tricks...
overall a good team, kinda sad that Ippei/Riason/Raimo/Eban/KUzu are not participating tho
