Hi everybody,
As you have probably noticed (pretty evident when the site stops working for 3 days...), we changed server. Our old webhost was nothing but trouble. We moved there at the end of the summer, and the multiple crashes/data losses (including the *BIG* one) were due to the fault of that webhost. Before we moved there we were fine, but we had to move out because our previous server was stopping.
So now we moved again to a hopefully more reliable server and made a few changes:
- We disabled the video feature. We don't think it's a very important feature. Just use Youtube. If you need to recover your uploaded videos, we'll find a way to provide you a way to recover them for a limited time.
- We pruned some of the less important forum sections:
Spammer Bin was pruned, so was OT. Trading was pruned for old topics (at least inactive for 1 year). Intro
- We recovered to latest data which was Sunday Nov. 29 at around 4AM. Anything after that is lost.
We still need to tweak things around a little bit, so if there's any bugs or comments, please report them using the appropriate threads.
Now the drawback is that our old host only cost $28/m, and we really did get what we paid for... now it costs us $54/m, possibly more if we see it's inadequate (easy to upgrade). So we're gonna need all the (financial) help we can get. Look for the DONATE button at the very bottom of every page and send us some donations. We keep track of them and update our donor list ("Friends of UPSB") with it.
Furthermore, support us by buying UPSB merchandise on Penwish. Right now we have RSVPs, soon some Pen Cases. -

Thanks for clarifying that....but why the videos section? I liked it how it provided better quality than youtube. Btw are we on a better server now?

How will we be able to retrieve our videos? I do want to keep my Love Spin video.

uhh... LOL
our old provider just closed down for business within the hour, so looks like we barely managed to dodge the bullet by moving one day before lol
so as of now, we don't have an archive of the videos... we'll try to get one later.
