Well when doing the continuous bak you sorta got to let is slip almost to put it right into position for the next one. Sort of do a bak wobbly and move your finger back to the ready posiotion for the next one.

Try to catch the Backaround with the COP on the outside of the fingers so that you can perform another Bak afterwards. Rather than just letting the pen swing around the finger, move your hand backwards a bit at the end of the Bak to bring it behind the COP.

Try learning 1.5 spins continuous it is smoother than doing a hand hiccup to reset the COP for 1.0s.

    +1

this is one of the rare combos where doing MORE rotations is actually EASIER.

to do cont bak 1.0 you will need to pull your hand back to give you room on the cop.

I can do a few in a row, I don't really move my hand back, I just tilt it upwards a bit. My record is four though, so I'm not that good. I did 118 with a hockey stick once though, using the same method.

EDIT: It is much easier doing bak 1.5 though, and IMO looks equally as cool.

Watch tohlz's video in the UPSB+PDS collab, that was pretty well done. The technique is good too.

Thanks for all the advice. I tried to do the 1.5 continuous but it always ends up at my pinky like a neoback. Still no luck with the 1.0 too. dry.gif

i am trying this trick for 2 weeks and the only thing i can do is two backarounds not because i have learned how to do it but because i do them fast (and there is no way to do any more with that way). I have seen too many tutorials in youtube and all of them telling to move the finger up in the middle of the backaround to come in the position for more backarounds. The problem with me is that it feels like the pen is somehow glued in my finger! And when i try to do it fast it takes so much speed that i cannot either catch the pen or do it right.

I have tried that with dr comssa, dr kt, msxa and rsvp mx.

    Any help?

I have the feeling of it "glued" to my finger as well, but I still manage to do it sometimes. I think it's the timing. It's the same problem I have with double bust.

just have your finger lift enough..

let it lift enough that it kinda leaves your finger. then you recatch it

are you allowed to move your index finger when you're doing the cont bak? i mean like when you're doing the cont thumbaround. Or it would it be considered a indexaround if i move my index finger too much?

Err an indexaround goes the other way lol. Plus an indexaround is more of a vertical motion than a horizontal motion which is what a backaround is.

Anyways your index finger should always be sticking out, and it shouldn`t move that much. It`s more of a hand motion and allowing the pen to reposition itself.

when im setting the pen back to where it stared when i do a bak. am i suppose to let it fall into place? or do i have to move my Index finger?

cuz im just letting it sorta fall in

When I do continous bak, I wait longer before turning my hand back to the original position when I start the bak, like around when the pen is about to land into the slot. I also move my index finger up a bit at the same time.

any advice on wessian or weis style cont. backaround?

    just amazing

Hey, I was just wondering when doing the cont. bak, do you do it Eso's way where you move the index finger back? Or Icepray's way where he goes palm side > down > side > down > etc...? Or I should say, the easier or more prefered way?

    Thanks in advance ~

You relaly shouldnt have seem probs with cont back, because there isnt any seem really, think of it more as catching it in the air and doing it again, if you can do a cont thumb arround youll know what I mean, you have tos tart the second revolution like in the middle of the trick ;D

eso and icepray use the same concept

  30. shoeman6
    Date: Mon, Sep 15 2008 20:49:10

yup =] Esos way is more of a hop, Ice is more of a like smoother thing? but both look the same when you do them fast =]

  31. Ogarathe
    Date: Mon, Sep 15 2008 21:40:24

Yeah, I only tried for 10-15mins last night and got it a bunch of times. But if you just try to practice the catch, it looks really different if you just move your index back compared to moving your hand to palm down. Because when you go palm down it ends up in the position you need to do another one without moving your index? I dunno, just thought I'd make sure.

    Anyway ~ Thanks guys.

If you move palm down, the pen "hops" back slower....

  34. shoeman6

Def worth learning. Try not to move your hand much.
right before you catch yu just let go a little bit of the pen and itll hop back into place =]
Just lear to get a feel for it ;]

does the pen has contact wif ur mid fingerevery time u do a bak?

  37. shoeman6
    Date: Mon, May 25 2009 14:01:19

Is that a question for HTPS? Whoever it's for It shouldn't. You shud let go right before yu catch it just like loosen yur grasp and the momentum will let it slide forwarda bit and instead of catching it yu just do another bak from that position.
It doesnt stay in contact the whole time.yu "letgo" a bit.

err i mean i can do 3 cont bak but is it like bust? only the index contact the pen every cont bust?(MAH ENG SUCKS!!!!!!!)=(

  39. shoeman6
    Date: Mon, May 25 2009 14:31:55

It kind of *touches the mid finger* like it helps stabalize it, no it is not like busts but yu dont actually grab it, the pen might bounce off the middle finger to keep control.
It isnt incorrect to have yur middle finger touching it =]

The "slide forward bit", is it necessary to give the pen a little nudge ? I tend to 'overslide' and drop the pen.

  41. shoeman6
    Date: Mon, May 25 2009 17:47:55

no nudge is neccecary yu might move your hand back a tiny bit but its like a flinch not whole movement.

so it jus slides off the middle finger?

  43. shoeman6
    Date: Tue, May 26 2009 17:36:54

well the middle finger stabalizes it and makes the pen revolve around your index finger.
It's finger less but you fingers make like a V where the pen lands ... make sense?

  44. chrisPS
    Date: Wed, May 27 2009 03:28:32

the concept is the same as doin busts (bak revs), so if you know cont busts, then cont baks are typically the reverse. It may take some time to get the rhythm, but the concept is the same.
