kay so i have a laptop and an external monitor. i wanna have it so that i can close my laptop without it going to sleep so the big external monitor still displays everything. help?

Depends. I think if you set it to JUST CRT not CRT+LCD/extended desktop it wont hibernate. But that just may be my comp, Its a Toshiba. -

Control Panel -> Hardware and sound -> Power Options -> System settings

Honestly, how do you forget something like that? You see the logo each time you turn the damn thing on.
