I see that some people don't understand what status is. It is a short text message that will appear in your profile and when you post (visible by everyone). Use it to write whatever you want (should still respect the rules), such as your current mood, what you're doing, thinking, wanting, etc. This is similar to facebook status or MSN quick message.
Status limits
1. Max total length: 150 characters
2. Max word length: 15 characters
To update your status:
1. Click on the text area (e.g. "").
2. Write your status.
3. Click on update.
4. You should see a yellow box briefly appearing in the center of the page that says "Loading, please wait...".
5. If you didn't see the yellow box, click update again until you see it.
6. Refresh the page, the status text should have changed.
7. If status didn't update, it means your status broke the limits indicated above. Change your message and try again.
To view your status:
Your status appear in at the top of your profile page.
Your status also appear in every post you make, in the left userbox.
To clear your status:
1. Set your status to 0.
2. Update.
3. Refresh. -

It doesn't take a genius to do this either...

well the problem is, when typing in the text box you have to first click out of it before you can actually hit "update." so for the first like 25 minutes when i was testing this for zombo i couldn't figure out how to update, becase i'd be typing and then click "update" once (which was actually just exiting the text box), and it wasn't working, and we couldn't figure out why.
so no, not a genius, but it's not necessarily the easiest thing always lol
