Well i was in class and i saw this guy spinning a pen and i said to myself that i wasnt the only spinner in the school so i greeted him and i noticed that the pen was made by Bic and it said Spinz. The next day i went to Cvs to buy some g2s and rsvps and i saw that Spinz pen which had customizable caps and barrels EACH sold separately anyways my question is if its wrong to buy one of these pens and does it look like Bic is trying to exploit pen spinning?

I didn't know Bic made spinz, but no matter who did, I don't think they count as pen spinning. I think pen mods should be made from actual pens originally used as writing instruments. Philosophically, I would categorize them as batons with ink tubes in them and not pens in the traditional sense of the word. Plus they are complete ripoffs and not very customizable at all. I don't think they are exploiting pen spinning in general but the customers who might want to buy them at $10 USD a pop. (I was tempted to get one the other day but instead decided to order the parts for an mx and commsa from penwish). Hope that was helpful.

it's not wrong, if you don't like don't buy it, it's not any different from buying pre-made mods. and just because its pre-made doesn't mean you can't mod it again on your own.

Sure sure, I guess I was more trying to say that I think Bic or whoever makes spinz is trying to exploit users. I've heard awful things about them on the forums and from my friends who got me into PSing so maybe I should just condense my message to this: don't buy them.

But hypothetically, IF spinz were awesome pens at a price that matched the quality I think they would be fine. As somebody who is bad at arts and crafts type projects I think a lot of the pens out there that involve sawing, filing, etc would be near impossible for me to make by myself, so pre-made mods are a good thing to have IMHO. That probably pertains more to the original question, just thought I would warn you about the quality of spinz in case you didn't know already.

well i hope its not wrong b/c I would rather just get pens off penwish or penspinstore or even modrods ... theyre already balanced nicely, usually have some graphics and still made of normal pen parts usually so its still "okay" or not a baton. I didnt know where to buy the parts for mods and didnt feel like watching a bunch of tutorials sad.gif one of my friends from some card forums made a couple mods and traded me so that worked.

spinz pens are okay I guess, at least you can get them in stores, I used to get them from riteaid... but the plastic always break if you drop them (the beginner one spins okay though!)
