Hey, so today I was hoping to discuss the visual aspects OF the bakfall.

As many of you have probably seen BakFalls can be either Very attractive, or Very underwhelming, however being the same trick I think there are a few things I have seen that make a more "visually appealing BakFall"

This is purely based on my tastes but I want to see what you think too wink.gif

    1. I Find the best Bakfalls are often done with the smallest movements in the fingers, this is achieved by minimizing the loss of momentum in your pass, aka smaller pass, but larger spin.

    2. I also find that BakFalls, in my opinion look nicer with an Open thumb. the thumbs position, I think has a great affect on the visual presentation of a whole piece. I'm a firm believer that a firm thumb, minimizing the thumbs movement, and keeping it open provides a more open and over all polished looked to your combo. I also find that either habit, or the way your hand is built you naturally want to bring your thumb inwards inside your palm during a BakFall. I was wondering if other people have this problem, if it is habit, or it is natural. ( I find my Bakfalls accuracy declines with an open thumb )

    3. I have seen that curled in fingers are often times less attractive than more flat fingers. I think this goes back to number 1 where the minimization of finger movements and keeping the pen going by minute changes in the finger creates an overall better pen effect.

Now I also this could be applied to pen spinning in general, defining a good spinner from an even better one, ex two people doing the same combo but one may look a LOT better than the other. These things also affect the "style" of your spinning.

SO I just wanted to know what you think a nice bakfall looks like, and your other thoughts on my observations. =]

They look better if they have a more horizontal spin than a vertical spin.
