Cool vid, this stuff looks wack even without being in the dark or glowing...
Isolation using penspinning? traces and what nots? imo it would look pretty cool and could add another "dimension" to pen spinning =]
Apparently some psers do, =O anyways I thought it was tight... and there could be a lot more "work" done on developing isolations with psing...?
would "glowstringing" with pens still be considered penspinning? -

isolation already exists but refers to another concept in PS so thats confusing
stuff like this are spinless tricks and some already to use them but obv to do what he's doing you need the specific angle, and an angle showing the face like that is not ideal in PS.
but i like for example DaThroat did some stuf like that, forgot where -

i think dathroat did it in one of his asian cup vids

the concept of space is not very well understood by pen spinners. not many will try to exploit the whole screen to their advantage. this is because most of the time when you do move around a lot, it is a sign of instability. but voluntary movement of the spinning location is rare. -

I think things like this could really help push penspinning into the whole performance aspect, I mean looking at the glowsticking videos they don't even use pen spinning tricks persay but still manipulate the sticks in such a way where they create quite entrancing patterns (with or without light) through wrist movement and hand movement, like that anti spin (in first post video)...

i love antispin flowers.
and mm stuhl does isolations too
and and i actually have been trying to think up ways of using them -

And then what about notation non spinning tricks if they're ever further developed...
Idk, I just think it would look very on stage, and on video using glowstickings community to further this one as glowsticks and pens are in many ways very similar, we have luminous mods now adays as well which is really quite the same in nature... And the fact that they incorporated it in a different way is very neat.
This could also help with the "music" syncing problem with much of psing as a lot of the current repertoire is smooth conics and spinning tricks... Glowsticking is a nice spicy layer and it'd really cool seeing manipulations similar to freehand glow sticking developed for pen spinning where in many ways it's more appropriate... =P
Aka glowsticking has many ideas about aerials us penspinners could use as well, they have much more palm and wrist manipulation that could be used along with our spinning repertoire adding something more than conics passes wipers and arounds...
Edit: I was talking about psing on the glowsticking forums and i'm in the process of downloading a quite large file that apparently has something to do with glowsticking and psing together. Should be interesting will post update later after I see what's inside and such. I think freehand glowsticking could benefit likewise from penspinning...
Here is a link to a download of the video it is quite large, 90 mb? but worth it imo.

As you can see there are many tricks that would only be acceptable in darkness or look good in the dark but other things like his aerials to back of hand stalls and butterflies and other just wrist whatnots would look very nice in the daylight as well. He does a charge while not much but eh... still psing. stuff like this with pens could open a whole new door =].
