That is a large gap in the middle...
    Please dont do a tutorial.
All you did was screw one pen into the other, and not even well.
You can figure it out by urself.

By submitting a tutorial of a pen mod like that (easy to make, doesnt even NEED a tutorial to figure out)
    You are guaranteeing:
    1) flaming
    2) an unneeded topic

***im not trying to deter people from making mods, but keep your selfmods to yourself. If someone wants to know how to make it, use email, or the fancy pm system. It'll work fine.
I wouldn't submit a tutorial unless you KNOW that it is revolutionary, and hasnt done before.

These kind of revolutionary mods come with LOTS of modding experience. Just saying

umm well i cut a thing off and had to glue it lol umm i do suck at modding right now but the gap is cause its a two sided mechanical pencil smile.gif

That would be pretty pointless. It would only write well if you had a lockspring, which I'm assuming you don't because of the size of it.

Back to the pointless part. Writing with one end will cause the other end to come out, and vice versa. And how would you put lead in. A better idea would just to make the other side an eraser.

Also, just cut some of the barrel/lead tube to get rid of the gap, whichever case it might be. Stick a grip in the middle (RSVP, Signo DX) and take off that writing and it will look a whole lot better. Trust me.

Er... what else? Oh, and play around with it a bit. Replace the grips for one, and stick metal tips on it if the MP shows through.

If you like this mod, show it off. As FrozenIce said, a good personal mod is something that you can go out of control with, just so others won't make it. Make the gripping scheme as extravagant as possible, as an example. Or make your own way of stabilizing the mechanism.

But otherwise, experiment with it a bit. If we start drooling all over the final result, congratulations. If we offer comments, listen to them.

Speaking from personal experience, most mods don't need a tutorial, unless its something that looks hella awesome or is made by TEK. Personal mods should spin according to you, not vice versa.

And yes, wait for people's approval before making a tutorial. I have seen way too many mods that had potential, but the modder never worked on it enough. The end results were a topic full of flame and all that shit.
