   I understand the concepts and execution of the trick, I just can't get it clean...I only get it cleanly once in a while. On other occasions, I get a twisted sonic, and then what looks like to be two horizontal passes...

   That was the same for me ^^, all you have to do is when the pen is at fingerslot 12, swing the pen in and continue with the cycle, it takes a lot of practice and time to get it smooth. ^^
