1. Teacher gives half-sheet of paper that you can use during test
2. Look at Matthew Choi and lie to yourself about getting a higher score than him.
3.

You weren't allowed to print it out?
-
Date: Mon, Jan 25 2010 06:06:59
its easier to put stuff in your head then writing it on a tiny piece of paper... well at least for short term I find.
good job though -

Our teacher said we could only write stuff on there. Otherwise I would be scanning some diagrams right now. -
Date: Mon, Jan 25 2010 06:35:33
whats the point of doing that
you're gonna waste time reading your sheet trying to find what is where -
Date: Mon, Jan 25 2010 06:41:10QUOTE (Zombo @ Jan 24 2010, 10:35 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>whats the point of doing that

I wrote the chapter numbers in a circle and the slashes and boxes make it easy to find stuff, for me at least. -
Date: Mon, Jan 25 2010 06:51:28
well i bet you wont even use the sheet in exam because the simple act of writing it down like this will commit to memory
bio is pure memory anyway -
Date: Mon, Jan 25 2010 07:11:37
i'm allowed to do that stuff in my exams for maths
i never use the notes sheet, but i have it there incase i get a mind blank -
Date: Mon, Jan 25 2010 07:55:47

RNA is half DNA
you will pass -
Date: Tue, Jan 26 2010 02:48:41
haha i did that for my maths and i had the entire year of notes on one side of paper =P
i'd show you but i put it in as a time capsule so i won't get it for another 9-10 years XD -

Genetics started with RNA, not DNA.
C - G
A - T
Btw I got a 90 on my bio final -
Date: Tue, Jan 26 2010 04:10:17
pff, use a hi-tec and you can even get more on the sheet
I'd do that for my previous exams except we can't write in ultra small writing -

Exactly. But without that, I wouldn't have got around to memorizing it.QUOTE (nateiskewl @ Jan 25 2010, 06:11 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>We have the same Bio book. My final is on Chapter 12 - DNA and RNA. Tips?
NUUU. That chapter test was the hardest for me.
But for DNA A - T, G - C.
But when translating to RNA A - U, G -C.
That's about all I'm really good at.
Just make sure you understand the key concepts, diagrams, and know your RNA biatch.QUOTE (chogoling @ Jan 25 2010, 08:10 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>pff, use a hi-tec and you can even get more on the sheet
Was afraid of making mistakes=no pens. -

thats pretty much the point of the exersize.
its a trick alot of teachers use, makes the students study and remember everything, and feel confident coming into the exam.
Even if you're not allowed to bring stuff into an exam, i'd recommend using the technique. Writing everything on a piece of paper. -
Date: Tue, Jan 26 2010 05:45:48
yea i know
my supervisor uses this trick all the time -
