I'm 18 years old and live in Drenthe, Netherlands. I study Mathematics in Groningen, and am a first-year student. Favourite music genres include progressive rock and metal [Ayreon, Dream Theater, Stream of Passion, Symphony X], but I listen to a huge variety of music, including bands like The Ramones, ASK, S.S.H., DJ Sharpnel, all kinds of video game music and remixes, Fish, Marillion, David Cassidy etc..
I recently picked up chess again next to penspinning, and occasionally play a game of StepMania. I'm always up for a game of chess, you can find me on chess.com, I'm called Eriror there.

Queen's Gambit, Sicilian Defence Najdorf Variation, and I really don't know any traps by heart.
Why do u study math?
Because I love the way of thought it needs, and there aren't enough people who study Beta-sciences, so I thought I'd help the government out a bit.
Wats ur favourite video game?
I'm kinda in a dilemma with this question already. I'm stuck with two, Phantasy Star Online and Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals. I wouldn't be able to choose.
Wats ur biggest achievement in life?
Pfft, another tough question. I really really have the feeling that I never achieved something huge in my life yet, especially not in something outside the penspinning world. I've always been the one supporting others do something big, and be happy for them, and I've always been happy doing that. So, I'm not sure whether I can answer that question... I mean, there are a couple of things, but I really wouldn't call them achievements, rather things I'm proud of.
Biggest fail?
So many fails on my part, I wouldn't know what to pick. Naturally, there isn't one that I would believe to stand out from the rest. I'm rather constant when it comes to my fails. Being too afraid to apologise to one of my best friends and risking to destroy our friendship? Forgetting to sign myself in for an exam and thus failing it for this year? Being too scared to even stand on a dance floor for 5 seconds?
Any regrets on something?
I pretty much regret not having stood up for myself when I was younger. This way, I might not have been bullied so much and I might have not have my mind manipulated that much, so I would be a more confident person today.
Have you had any shame doing something?
I feel ashamed doing a lot of things, like when I was showing off penspinning more than four years ago. I was horrible, and people still wanted to see it. I was like a tomato, man. Or going along with fairy's dance lessons and actually being taught on the dance floor when everyone else is dancing around you so much better, so much more confident, so much more graceful. Yeah, I felt ashamed for even being there.
Have you done anything your not supposed to do?
Hahahaha. That's just a question that's rather sneaky. I would say no, I don't think I did anything I wasn't supposed to do.
But maybe someone else might not agree. The cat might think it's normal to eat mice. But I'm sure the mice don't agree. If you really want to know, though, I could just say I've been talking about someone together with some friends. You're not really 'supposed' to do something like that. Otherwise, I wasn't supposed to spend the night together with fairy a couple of times. But it still happened. I didn't mind. But I'm sure others would have.

I love cheesecake.
What/Who do u hate the most?
Do you want an answer to both questions? I hate my insecurity the most of everything. Just knowing that you should do things for yourself and others, but not having the guts to overcome that small fear and actually doing it, and actually being able to enjoy life more than I already am. In general though, I hate people the most who don't take the time to actually learn a person better than from first sight. A person is so much deeper, there's a whole history behind him or her. On the surface, he might look like a huge gothic. In the inside, he might be a sweet cuddly teddybear. You never know until you actually get to know him. And I think it's unreasonable to not take the chance and dismiss him for nothing.

I used to be a huge strawberry-flavour fan, but blueberries are slightly taking over nowadays. Or otherwise, just vanilla.
Are you good at chess?
I won a couple of hours ago from someone who is deemed pretty good, so... I'm not really good, but I can hold my own in most chess games.
What do u wnat to be when you graduate from university?
I guess a teacher of some sorts, or maybe just work in a company, with statistics. I still have around 5 years to find out what I actually want to do, so we'll see later.

who is your inspiration of life?
Heh, I've always had good answers for this question, but they have all slightly been slipping away from me. My two most favourite persons, and thus the persons who I take most of my inspiration from, are Terry Goodkind and Arjen Anthony Lucassen. The first because of the books he wrote, there are so many lessons of life in it, which I always try to listen to, hahaha... They just give me the will to live. Same with Arjen Lucassen and his music. He's been in a depression lately, and still managed to get out of it, and keep on doing what he loves doing most, making music. I admire him so much.

Terry Goodkind, Terry Brooks, Margaret Weis, Karin Slaughter, Stefan Brijs. These are only a few I can come up with in my current state. XD

Have you ever lost to someone on purpose?
Not on purpose, but I do have the tendency to be more leniant on certain people... Which might account for the same thing. I do not believe that losing to someone on purpose gives them a better feeling, especially if they know that I didn't do my best. Having them win when I tried my hardest, I believe that would give the biggest kick, and that's how I would want to win as well.
Is it easy for you to forgive people's mistakes?
Yeah, I'm very forgiving... I'm often said to be too nice to people, because if someone occasionally hurts him, I forgive him really quickly. As if I'm too afraid to lose him as a friend I hold close. It happens more often than not. I rarely let a friend slip away unless I feel that the bond is too faint to repair.
How do you see your future? where are you planning to work, live etc?
In the future, I hope to have a job as a teacher/researcher somewhere, and if things are going well, hopefully in Germany at the time [as a certain someone doesn't want to leave. >_>] Of course, that's if everything goes well. Right now, I'm just trying hard to finish studying mathematics and find a decent job first to get settled. Things can change, though, so I might just become a world-famous star and get tons of bucks! You never know.

Actually, I do. Seeing as there are way too many rules, and some even contradict themselves, I can't possibly abide to all, but I really believe rules exist for a reason. I do have been quite leniant towards myself when it comes to stuff like that, but I'm usually a lot more strict.
How often do you lie?
Including small lies [saying you're fine on MSN even though you're feeling a bit under the weather], I have counted 43 lies in 1 week, once. But this was along with trying to be as honest as possible. So I would probably lie around 100 times a week. Major lies to escape something, not often. I don't like lying, I'm not good at it, nothing good comes out of it. I hate myself when I do lie for once, and it all comes back to me anyway.

Including the one I'm in with Keksi at the moment, I've been in 4 relationships, of which they were 1.5 years, 20 months and 21 months. I... believe that Keksi is a lot more considerate of my autism and understands what I can't handle or have problems with, or rather is open to accepting it more than the other girlfriends I had. Overall, she just is more mature and talks more easily. That's the thing I missed most in my previous relationship, I wasn't able to have small-talk. Right now, I can talk and have fun, but still be serious with each other about each other without actually be really arguing, which I believe is very important as well.

Where does Eriror come from?
Back in 2004, I just registered pn GameFAQs under the name Tollaw, from my favourite monster from one of my favourite games, Phantasy Star Online. I just was being active a bit on the PSO and Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time boards, and noticed some RPG-topics which I was interested in. I didn't want to play under the name Tollaw, so for my character, I tried to think of something catchy. Eriror was the first thing on my mind immediately, and I liked it, so I used it. Erirornal Kraione came when I was a lot more active on the PSO board and was a veteran there. Someone wanted to use "Eriror" for his fanfiction, and I agreed, saying he could just use my character. He then was like: "I'd like a full name, do you have one?", and I just thought of Eriror Krane, which could be extended to Erirornal Kraione. So that's what I used since then. People just call me Eriror because it's a lot easier though... Even though it's still fucked up way too often for my liking.

Having hurt myself on purpose, several times, to serious extents. It wasn't necessary, I could have just decided to live on normally by thinking, not by feeling.

I usually don't need it that much. If I really need it, I usually sleep. If I don't, I don't. It's annoying at times, but useful as well because I can spend more time doing the things I love. Especially fun when friends are over and you can pull off an allnighter together,

Hahaha, we're getting philosophical now. I believe perfection really is really determined by the context in which it is placed. I usually see perfection as something that is so good, or so well performed, that it's near the point that it can't actually be improved anymore. Of course, when you apply this to penspinning, there is a dillema. I'm going for perfection, but it's not really obtainable as there's always something new to explore, there's always a way to get a little bit smoother. But I'm still going for it. I want to look as perfect, as effortless as possible with my spinning. So I guess that's my definition.

What got you into pen spinning?
There were other Dutch pen-spinners in my neighbourhood at that time, Michael and his twin brother patte. I was in Michael's class, and saw him doing some basic tricks, as he was just starting as well. I was flabbergastered, and really wanted to learn it myself, so I asked him to teach me. He showed me UPSBv2 at that time, and I registered. I watched some collabs [the first being UPSB + PDS], picked up a pencil, and was hooked for life.

Pretty much... Surreal. Being someone always feels awkward, in my opinion, as if you don't always deserve it, but actually beating Cloud Traveller and Bonkura? Wow, just unreal. I mean, I tried really hard for the battles, and the battles were close as well, but the fact that people just believed I was better than them is a really nice feeling. =) Same with last year. Even though I lost to Supawit127, the fact that people thought I was better, and I got some votes, it's just great. =) That matters a lot.
Come to Toronto =D?
If I had the money, I'd definitely come, but I'm afraid I'll be short on funds a lot the coming time.?!

I knew this question was coming. >_< I don't think it will be coming out any soon. It was supposed to be revolutionary, but it's obviously not going to be that anymore, now that I am simply not good enough anymore to compete with the top of the world. I don't have the spinning, nor the editing skills to make it completely worthwhile. The music that I was planning to use has been used by Supawit already, and the clips I already made aren't nearly as good anymore as they were. So I'll see, but I might just stick to freestyles.

I've never been out of Europe, for that matter. The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany and France are the only countries I've been to.

I used to spin a lot, but lately I don't have the time for it anymore. When following colleges, you have to write a lot, and if I do spin, and drop, there's a chance the pen will just roll down, and down, and down. I really wouldn't want that.
Did your friends recognise you for spinning?
Not specifically, but they do think it's nice. I don't think I really have got a real life friend [outside people that were already PSers] because of penspinning.
Did your friends know you won 2nd in the WT?
Yeah, they were pretty much rooting for me all the way in the WT07. It was really nice to see them being so enthusiastic. =)
What tricks are you practising now?
I haven't been practising a lot lately, but mainly Aerial HaiTuas and BackAround variations.

Hm... I'm not really sure what to explain about my autism. I'm diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, which impedes my social skills by a fair amount. It used to be a lot worse when I was young and had lots of problems communicating normally with kids my age. I still notice that I have autism, obviously, but it's smaller things now, not noticing when someone is bored, not telling someone what I really want to do, just letting everything depend on someone else instead of me, and me just following along. How long can you go without sleep?
As long as I have around 7 hours of sleep, I can last another night without sleep. I can keep up that cycle for around a week, but I do notice my mood changes more often and I get agitated and tired a lot more easily than if I just sleep for around 3-4 hours every night. I'm not as capable to be without sleep as before, when I could go for 4/5 nights, but I was a mental wreck afterwards.

I don't, I would love to, but I don't think I would actually find the time and patience to learn to play an instrument well enough. I can do basic stuff of some instruments, but that's what it usually stays with.

Definitely, university and other hobbies take a lot of my time as well, lately... So yeah, I have less time to spin, which in order leaves me unable to catch up with the other pros anymore. =( It's a sad thing.

Around 2 GB, around 1000 videos of the 15000 I should have had by now. Lost/deleted most of them, though, otherwise I would have had a lot more, obviously. =P
what direction do you think pen spinning is taking?
I'm not really sure.. It seems like penspinning forums are dividing a lot lately, one side wanting pure power tricks, another side just wanting pure style, and a smaller part not caring and just doing what they want, maybe seeking a small balance between the two. Everything is so extreme lately, it's not really what I'm enjoying. I do notice that when I upload videos, I get a lot of comments on MSN and mails that I should just or stick to heavy pens, or stick with pens like Cy-spinn mods and MX, and ditch the other one, instead of letting me do what I love most, exploring everything. It makes me rather sad to see that I'm losing fans just because I want to be able to do everything instead of just sticking with one thing.

I'm getting a lot of complaints from penspinners saying I'm way too arrogant at times, especially on my video against Bonkura or anything that I defend myself with, like when people say I'm repetitive and have no style. In real life, I get a lot of complaints about me being way too negative about myself, and that I have nothing to complain about.
Do you love kids/babies?
I do enjoy seeing them, but I'm afraid I wouldn't be a really good parent due to my autism. Especially the first few years would be really hard for me.

I actually believe those are the only tricks I really invented. I do have invented some variation to tricks, but mostly just rare mini-combos and things like that.

"No offence, but ..." I seriously hate it when people say that, because they think it's a free ticket to saying what they want, even though people will be offended by it. It's just ridiculous. Really, I don't understand why people accept it when others say it.
How do you understand 'freedom'?
Pfft, tough question. True freedom doesn't exist in my mind, because there will always be diversity and conflicts. Freedom in my eyes is being able to do what you want, and being able to say what you want, but that will never be accepted because in that sense, you are allowed to hurt others no matter what. Being able to pursue your own goals but still being limited to having to think about others is a kind of freedom, but not the true freedom people actually want.

I can see these are tough questions, as I don't really believe there's a certain way to learn tricks, aside from patience and practice. I just try. And if it doesn't work, I watch the trick again and try harder. That's just what I do.

Continuous tricks are in one way easier, and in one way harder. The beginning is the hardest, but once you've already gotten a couple of conts down, you get the principle and learn them a lot faster. Watching others do conts helps a lot to get the hand movement and fingerposition down.
What advice would you give to those who just started PS?
Don't be demotivated by everyone else who is a lot better than you. It's tough at times, but the feeling when you get a trick down well is great. And that's what's most important in the end.
What advice would you give to those who have been spinning for quite some time but felt like they've not gotten anywhere?
For some people, getting somewhere is more important than for others. If you're losing interest a bit or feel like you need some distance, actually take some distance and try again later. Maybe just take a change of a pen or style, try some different tricks. Being too focused on one thing doesn't help either.

I don't see why you should give up, especially if you've already been spinning for a while. In the end, it's all about penspinning being entertaining for yourself, and if it's not that anymore, there's no reason in actually spinning.

It really depends on the situation. Some things are more important than others, so you can't tell someone in general what to do when they feel like giving up. I mean, if it's for school or something, it's a lot different than when it's a hobby or sport.

Lately, not a whole lot. I mainly spin for myself, and doing what I want. Spinning for others isn't as useful anymore, I've noticed. They never seem to be content with what I'm producing and always want something more, or something different. I've tried it for a while, but there's just no more fun in it for me that way. Especially the communities are kinda making it worse for me, seeing as there are two major parts in the penspinning world now. Power tricks and pure style, and I don't feel like I fit in any of the two. Lately, when I made a video, I got mainly these comments in e-mails, even though I had a couple of power tricks in it:
"Needs a lot more power tricks, it's way too easy and boring."
"Dude, get some style, your videos are so boring and plain. Way too many hard tricks in it as well."
So no, it's not that fun for me anymore, and I'm not motivated anymore either.
What's a cool fact about yourself that you've yet to mention?
There's not a whole lot I haven't told yet, and I really can't think of anything cool to mention. There's not a lot cool about me in the first place. >_> Especially not the fact that I'm easily intimidated by people who I feel are of a higher rank than me, and easily have the feeling they don't like me. [like Zombo] Even though that's completely injustified.

Pay attention in class, make notes, read notes, and wala, you is you.

It's a lot different from the mathematics you're probably used to, and it's a lot tougher as well. Make sure mathematics is really what you want to do, as it's a lot of work.

I'm biased to Western, as I really don't know anything about the Asian culture in the first place. I'm sure it's a lot different and it would take me a lot of time to get used to it.

I really don't know to be honest, there are a lot of places I would like to go to, but I don't have anything in mind specifically. Japan would be a nice choice, but I don't know what I would have to do there. And I don't know any Asian languages, so that would impede any fun I would have there as well.

Doesn't mean anything to me, as there are a handful of spinners in UPSB that could easily kick my ass.

Not quite, it just has to come. Don't just link mini-combos you like together, they have to flow smoothly. Don't do too many direction changes if you don't have the skills to make them look good, and don't make a 30-second-long combo if you don't have the tricks to fill them up without looking repetitive.

Eh.. I suggest people to do what they want, but I don't have any tips for them. I don't exactly know what I've done to become the spinner I am today, as I've gone through so many style changes. The current style I have now is probably very easy to copy as there are nearly no hybrids in my combos and it looks very plaid. So just learn the tricks I do, and learn to link them smoothly.

Toro, as that was a lot more of a bullshit loss than Supawit was and the situation was a lot more different, even though both were unfortunate. I wouldn't be able to win of either, though.

(suitcase is a reasonable size, and given that you reach this location, you will be able to live normally until you die a natural death)

DOes your austism get in the way of your spinning. I have a austistic friend (who has asbergers) and he gets really frustrated and sad when he messes up on somthing. I'm wondering if this has affected your spinning? beacause in PS you obviously fail a lot

A pretty decently written book, but I always have the feeling people who read it have a fixed thought about autism and Asperger's Syndrome, and that's the part I don't like. Everyone with AS is different, and we sure don't all have the symptoms he has. Wasn't there something about... fear for yellow? I'm not sure. I don't think it's written very realistically.

Given that I can't really multitask or concentrate at two different things at the same time, desync 2p2h is nearly impossible for me. I don't get frustrated when I drop, but that's probably the only thing that impedes my penspinning abilities. And maybe the different way of thinking that might cause for lack of creativity. =/ I just see different variations to existing things, and not completely new ideas. -
