Where is a good place to download music FREE?
Yeah i know its somwhat illegal.
By good i mean, that has the album cover, album name, artist name, etc.
I want it to be like buying off of iTunes but free..
If its close then just post the website.
Pirate bay is the best i've heard (from a friend) but it doesnt provide album cover. Plus i dont know how to use it.
Can someone instruct me?
Must be compatible with iPod..
EDIT: Please tell me how to use the programs too! >.< -

beemp3 is kinda meh.
I used to use Playlist but they don't let you see the full mp3 link anymore.
I use FilesTube.
And as far as I know, downloading it like it's from iTunes for free is pretty rare.
But I have the biggest pet peeve of unorganized ID3 Tags, in my songs I want the song title to be the file name, and everything else to be blank except the artist, and if I have the entire album, i'll have the album art and album name.
But just get album art from google and use this to make things easier -

Even if the song you download doesnt have an album cover u can still add it. same with album artist and all that other stuff. when in i tunes just right click on the song and then got to get info. you can add it all in their.

@ Resonance: Sooo many pop-ups on that website. I havent tried it yet but ill tell you how it goes tomorrow. I havent even been to Megadownload yet..
@Zombo: I used to do youtubetomp3 conversions but then i realized that it sometimes didnt give artist name! Thats what i was most annoyed about Also Youtube isnt always the highest quality stuff.
@XYZaki: How do you use that link that you gave me? I mean how do you put the album cover onto it?
@cecil: No actually you can't. Not unless you bought it from iTunes directly. And the songs cost $1 and the albums cost ~$7.. thats quite a bit of money with all the songs i want. -

How do you put album art on using Mp3Tag?
Well change the directory to where the mp3s are, then highlight the songs you want to put the image on, then on the white box in the bottom left, right click and select "Add Cover" and you can select which image, then click "save tags". -

@ellusion67: I just used that site and i downloaded an album. It took 25 min which i guess i can wait but thats long >.< Then after i download it and it wouldnt transfer to iTunes! I think the file type isnt compatible with iTunes. Is there a way you did it? or did you not use itunes?
@ShadowSerpant & k-ryder: My mistake i must have tried a different pirate bay and now i see that it is FREE. I downloaded Miro and i tried downloading albums and i think it works fine.. BUT does it connect with iPods? haven't tried yet. -

Ever heard of:
"You get what you pay for"?
Learn how to use Torrents, first of all learn how to use Google.
And stop using iTunes. Use Anapod or something. -

-
Date: Sat, Feb 13 2010 12:19:08
if the files aren't compatible, just convert it using something
yes, its kinda a pain in the ass, but itunes usually covers most bases, even includes an inbuilt converter for wma (windows only)
mind you, the converter is really slow -

Okay so an update.
I started using MP3TAG which is an excellent program. But i need help with it.
The first time i used it, i was able to edit the tags and save it perfectly fine. Now it wont save!
It says "File --------------------" Cannot be opened for editing..
Whats wrong! Please help >.<
Also since i uploaded it to iTunes, only SOME of the tags are shown. The others show no album, artist, etc. only the file name.. -

Floola - alternative for iTunes
IMO, Floola is quite easy to use once you have set it up. A standalone program. No need for other files to run. -
Date: Sat, Feb 13 2010 15:38:37
I agree with ChrisPS. Floola is a brilliant application for transferring songs to/from your iPod. You can edit tags before adding them and have it all sorted and shit. And as Chris said it is distributed as a standalone executable so you don't have to install anything, you can even put it on your iPod and run it from there so you can use it where ever you want. It isn't really a jukebox or whatever for playing or converting music though, but I don't use that sort of thing anyway (it does actually support playing, but not very well).
I think it's written in Java (or else it uses some queer-as-shit graphics library) so it can be a bit slow and clunky at times . The only other bad thing is that some of the essential functions require you to use keyboard shortcuts (at least, I haven't found any other way to do them), which is a bit of a PITA. You can just google them if you need them though. -

just use foobar2k
tagging almost as powerful as mp3tag
with a plugin you can transfer to ipod just fine -

Thanks for all the help guys.
I bookmarked all the album websites, and all of them were helpful, thanks ^.^
I am also using Youtube Converter + Mp3Tag which is a great combo, thanks Zombo.
I decided not to use Foobar2k because it was too confusing and i already had iTunes
Close? -

So im having some problems
I downloaded some music from some websites and it downloaded perfectly fine.
The files are all there and they are fine.
The problem is that it wont add onto iTunes.
I'm guessing the file isnt compatible?
Or what am i doing wrong?
Help? -
Date: Sun, Feb 14 2010 04:46:44
You haven't told us: 1) What file type the files are, so we can possibly know if they are compatible or not. 2) If the files will play in a media player other than iTunes, to make sure that the files are not corrupt. 3) How you are trying to add them into iTunes, as you may be doing something wrong. People don't want to type out a guide to do a simple (google-able, may I add) thing if it is not what you are doing wrong.
Stop expecting people to help you when you aren't even letting us know the details and what you have tried. -
Date: Sun, Feb 14 2010 11:31:24
Never mind i got them to add to iTunes..
