Heroes of Tomorrow / HoT 2nd - Meliorate

    We've been a team for over a year now, and I think it's time to start on HoT 2nd!! Excited guys? Cause I am!! (excited to film? me.. not so much lol)

    So here are some title suggestions first of all:

    Heroes of Tomorrow: Meliorate
    Heroes of Tomorrow: Transcend

    Meliorate (Meliorism) -- To make/grow better; improve
    Transcend (Transcendent, Transcending) -- to rise above or go beyond; overpass; exceed

    I personally like Meliorate, just cause it's a word that not many people know tongue.gif but transcend's good too (not sure we're at that level yet though, i still feel like we're on the improving stage (btu then again, we'll always be able to improve more tongue.gif so eh..))

    I have no idea on a deadline yet, especially since I kinda want to do a relay collab first before this.. and I still kinda want a more fun, chill collab. Although I suppose express collab/winter collab were pretty relaxed, let's do one with less real spinning and more crazy stuff =]? But we can leave that for after HoT 2nd. Just throwing that out there though.

    And do we wanna throw any new ideas into this collab? If anybody wants to suggest any or can come up with any, feel free to share here on this thread. We can do it just like Nascent though, just everyone hand in a clip and we'll edit that together. (so.. no tags or pictures like in winter collab) That'd be fine too.

    Dalton, brush up on your editing please? =] Your recent editing's been awesome, but it never hurts to get better. So... learn more tricks on vegas/after effects/ particle illusion smile.gif

    And for this one, I want everyone to be submitting a clip... so Mark (DaeHa for those who don't know his real name), if you're reading this, yes, that means you!! wink.gif

    Oh, and I have no idea on music yet... wanna go for those epic sounding ones? J/K-pop? Instrumental? Other...?

    Okay, that's all I have to really say for now.. use this as HoT 2nd planning thread, and let me know what you think about the collab title name. Feel free to throw out other titles if you don't like either of the ones I chose. =]

    i say we have a color scheme, sorta like the winter CV
    and i'm very anti-J/K-pop, i vote "epic sounding" or dark/intense techno (RYO 2nd ^^)
    and +1 vote for "Meliorate"

    lastly, silly concept idea (only because you asked "do we wanna throw any new ideas into this collab?" : one spinner starts with the finisher of the last spinner through out the whole collab with cool crossfade/split screen transitions, which has down sides of: lack of original endings, fixed line up makes it hard to fit music, easier finishers (but realistically, we are all good). but upsides like: signify's teamwork, and could look very cool if done well.
    or: at one point in the cv that happens
    or: just two copies are perfect copies with a split screen (like a tag, but international)

    Yes, learn some more editing skills; no offense, but since you don't really seem to wanan improve on your spinning from what you've told me =\ work on editing (still want you to spin for this though)

    if you mean charlie.. does midbak 1.5 riser >--air--> awonw catches in a spin, that's been done
    what i was thinking, which is less seen except in tektonic 1st, is to keep the pen spinning and not leave the hand and just transition over to the next person doing that trick -- so that it's less of a transfer and more of a fade into..

    ---all sounds more like really good ideas for a relay collab though lol ^^'' but i suppose it's okay if we incorporate some stuff into here.. idk

    err... 14-18 seconds is good, but no like.. 25 second combo
    if you make a 22 sec combo or something, it's fine, or even if it's 25 secs, but i don't wanna get like four 25 second combos

    remember, 10 days is sorta loose, if you have to try hard to get it in within 10 days, just take a little bit extra time and send it to me later-- i dont want you to rush it =P
    but i would like to have it in 10 days ^^ (at least the vids for 1/2 of you guys)

    team tag's pretty much done, saw the collab already (just without mhig..just gotta edit mhig in once he finishes filming)

    yea, i don't think i can move the deadline up 10 days... some people might just be finishing up with finals then
    deadline will remain july 1st
    --something we can do though is jamie can make some effects to give to kaku to incorporate into the final product.. being that kaku doesn't have too many effects in his editing, but his syncing is awesome
    --so collaborative editing

    @tomo, i think that genre of music's okay, but maybe not that song particularly...? what're some other opinions? i'm reluctant to use touhou music :X (+ its variations)
