Well I noticed that a regular inverted kt was just way too short for me so I fooled around and got a mod that is longer and in my opinion, more aesthetically appealing.

This is not a new mod, just a modified version of an inverted kt.

    Stats
    -------------------------------------------------
Name: Nacho's Simple DC Inverted KT
    COG: COP
    Length: 19.5 cm
Weight: Barely heavier than a regular KT
    Style: Double Sided
    Writing-Mechanism: N/A
    Ink-Type: N/A
    Estimated-Cost: 15 USD
    -------------------------------------------------
    Materials List:
    1x Colortwin/Keityo (Body)
    1x G2 (Grip)
    2x Signo Broad (Caps)
2x Japanese Dr. Grip Tips (Tips)

    2x Paper Inserts
    Scotch Tape
Electrical Tape (I used 2 colors)
    Hacksaw or Wire cutters

    OPTIONAL
    1x Sailor Grip

    Here we go:

    Spoiler:

Step 1) Add scotch tape to both ends of the CT or KT body. Add a strip of electrical tape in the middle.

Step 2) Cut both signo broad caps down to 4.4cm. Then add black tape to the ends as shown and add a paper insert. Dimension for the paper insert is 3cm x 5cm.

Step 3) Take your G2 grip and cut off 2, 2 ring sections from it and wrap them around your Dr. Grip Tips.

Step 4) Push them into your caps (The G2 grip should not be visible and should hold the Dr. Grip Tip in place).

Step 5) Add the caps to your body and Tada:

NOTE: You may need to do some trial and error with the amount of tape you put on the CT/KT body in order to hold the signo broad caps firmly in place.

Optional: Add sailor grips to the body as I have done.

Simple DC Inverted KT/CT next to an extended KT and a regular KT.

    Pro's
Almost 1.5cm more spinning space when compared to a regular inverted KT.
As mentioned before: longer and better looking

    Con's
Bad for people who enjoy shorter mods.

As always, there's room for improvement so please share if you've got an idea or advice.

... this actually looks really nice. Good use of signo broad caps ^^

In fact, this spins exactly the same as an EX2. In fact, same length, same grip placeage, and almost cap length and spinning space, just this uses easier to get parts.
btw, The bottom KT is hella sexy

oh ho ho ho, this looks fucking awesome.
And yeah, great use for getting rid of Broad caps biggrin.gif

The only concern is the strength (cant find the word) of the caps, and how prone they are to breaking.
    Nonetheless, this looks awesome

    Glad everyone likes it biggrin.gif

About the breaking. Do you mean the strength with which they stay on the body? Because with enough tape, they should be stable.

If I were to see cracks in the mod caps, I would expect them at the ends that are covered with electrical tape since there is already some tightness and tension there due to the g2 grips and tips pushing outward on the cap. Not sure though so just spin on carpet smile.gif
