One of the main complaints against the Buster CYL is the fact that it lacks visual customization. Because a lot people want to spin this pen, we end up seeing a lot of white mods with little customization.
When the Dr.KT became popular, it was made very customizable because you could change the color of the grips, but also the parts itself (such as the barrel), so every KT could look different. For the Buster CYL it seems to be only white and transparent grips.
The goal of this project is to archive existing techniques to customize the Buster CYL, but also find new ways to make the buster look different so that we can write an article or guide to customizing this pen. -

The ST barrels come in black and white only, However I was thinking that there could be a variation for the grip. Making the airfit grip shorter and adding some sailor gel grips with alternating colours. Another way is to find replacement parts for the buster especially the barrel.

Putting colored peices of paper int he airfit grips add endless customization imo, if you want more, for instance my bustercyl I have one with glow in the dark sheets of paper in the airfit grips so that when in the dark the grips glow a bright green, and I also have a bustercyl which has airfit rings, and vynyl tape...
I believe there are quite a few super tip subs in crayloas lesser known marker brands they all pretty much have the same body but different names so you could probably find different colored bodies there as well.
Different colored comssa caps, I doesnt seem to me that the bustercyl is any less customizable, if anything the airfit grips with the hollowed out holes allows even MORE customization because of the colors and objects you could put in them...
Also the fact that you have 3 different airfit tips you can use for the mod....

Replacing comssa caps wit BIC round stic caps
round stics grips can be used to replace the comssa caps so we can add an insert into the round stic caps to vary the colour
It makes the buster slightly lighter

??? Aren't there already enough ways to customize it? They just aren't popular.
Barrel: Color Express (lots of colors) -> get from PPP
Caps: Bellcolor -> Get from european boards
And for the grips.. just stick with them. You could put pieces of paper inside them but idk doesnt really matter to me that much -

Isn't color enough for spinning mostly? If you want more detail you can put tape designs on it.

It's simply because people don't have easy access to Color Express/Bellcolors here in UPSB. Whereas I've seen quite a few colored BusterCYLs in PPP and GPC. I'm 100% sure that if Penwish would start selling both Bellcolor and Colorexpress we'd have 23456786543 colored BusterCYLs pop up.

Okay i didn't see this thread until now.
I think dr. grip grip can change the overall appearance of a buster. Looks cleaner imo.
Also, I've seen tape cuts and tape designs such as 1 bar down the middle or on the clip parts of the comssa caps.(yes/no) (yes/no)

I'll just add that buster cyl can be customized like makin customized his KT (and dozen of spinners later), like that :

I guess inserts can be added into grips; it's really easy to customize this mod, but spinners using it prolly think that it's more "pro" to spin the "original buster cyl".
