    This. I still don't see why getting all A's matters that much.

    In the Netherlands, if you average a 7/10 average, you're already doing well. 8/10 is like <1% of everyone. 9/10 happens once in a blue moon. =/ Do you really need such high grades to get into a university or something?

    Yes, to get into a good university, your GPA is the biggest part.

    Getting into top universities is super-competitive. Even straight As will get you turned down by a lot of good universities (although you'll probably be accepted by a lot of less prestigious colleges).

    In New Zealand you certainly do O.O. It's really hard to get into uni here, you have to work hard. I'm talking about excellence/ merit in any exam that matters.

    thats because other factors like your work experience, extra curricular, your race and the courses you took are more important, straight A's is like a minimum requirement.

    wtf.gif 4.0s are nothing here, but pretty much no one get's 5.0s. It's pretty much impossible because of scheduling.

    Like everybody at my school has a 5.0. Even my friend who's Cuban that I thought wasn't that smart has a 4.6 or something.
    My weighted GPA was 2.9 last semester. >_>
