I put chapstick in between my figners so i can do a rising fan, but sometiems i'll wet my hands, otherwise i can't do it. Is this frowned upon, or have people done this before?

Chapstick works wonders. Right now im just using carmex but i want some of the black tubed chapstick. I heard it has no scent and smell.

hmmm well you wouldn't want somone to like, touch your hand and be like, ewww why's it all sticky cause it might unintentionaly imply something... I tried a little gluestick and that helps sorta, I don't really like water though 'cause it makes the pen really sliperry...

In my opinion, using stuff on your hands is acceptable. Pen spinning is a performance art, so anything to make the performance better is alright in my book. With magic performances, everyone knows that the magician can't do what he pretends to, it's all about what it looks like. If someone wants to use something to make their presentation better, more power to them.

Ever try some sort of tight gloves that can grip?

    Sounds like it might work...

But yeah... I think using anything to help you grip is perfectly fine. You're still spinning the pen, it isn't the substance on your fingers magically doing it for you.

Using stuff on your hands is common practice. Personally I don't even though my hands tend to be slippery-esque when I'm spinning my comssa but I can see how other stuff would help.

First I have heard about anything other than moisturizers. Doesn't the chapstick just make your fingers slippery?
