I have a math project, and well here it is, it would be nice to get a few ideas, preferably, funny, or original...
Create an application problem with 3 equations and 3 unknowns. Be sure to identify all variables and show all work when solving.
Again it's not long or that difficult, but I'm really stuck on ideas. Thanks guys
(you don't have to solve it, or even set it up, I'm just trying to come up with ideas) =P -

A person bought 500 pens.
x=mx's
y=busters
z=KT's
mx's cost 10 dollars, busters cost 15, KT's cost 20.
The person spent 1000 dollars on pens.
They bought 20 more MX than buster.
How many of each did they get?
so you'd have
x+y+z=500 (total pens)
y=x+20 (more MX than buster)
10x+15y+20z=1000 (total cost)
dunno if those numbers actually work though, i just made them up
