So I'm going to the circus on 2nd April (that's Friday) for six months. Would you guys be interested in reading a blog (on here) about circus life and stuff? If you are interested, what kind of stuff would you like to hear about? The blog would be updated when I could get online, which varies from a couple of times each week, to maybe like, once a fortnight.

Sounds like a cool idea, but maybe more so to me because I've never really been to a circus before. It's good to know what goes on behind the scenes of any performance, gives interesting insight.
I'd personally like to know how long per day (roughly) different performers practice.
(I realise that this isn't a blog-worthy question, just the only question I could think of) -

I can answer that one right now. I work in a small circus, the answer would be very different in a big circus. Anyway, some people will practice for maybe like 2 hours a week or something like that, just enough to maintain what skill they have. These people usually have done some intensive training, for maybe a year or two and then never really improve beyond that. Other people, practice more, others much more. I've noticed that jugglers seem to be the most 'practice intensive' people. Most seem to do 2+ hours a day. I would say acrobats are pretty good for practice, but obviously, their time is limited by the physical demands it puts on their body.
Personally, I usually try to put in 4 hours each day on circus skills while on tour (has been only 1-4 over the winter). Piano gets like 1 hour a day or something. It's pretty hard to do more than this, since you are working 7 days a week most of the time. I've only met one person who also does this level of practice in the circus, that was Max Lastic, world class contortionist and a decent juggler and acrobat too.
I'm sure people in Cirque Du Soleil and other big circuses like this will practice a lot more, because they don't have to do anything but perform, so they have more time. In a small circus, we do everything, building and pulling down the tent, the shows, circus workshops, advertising... -

I'd say go for it. It's cool to hear what exactly the whole job entails.

I'd like to read it. Wanna' find out what happens behind the scenes and all the cockups you've seen. Actually, I've never been to a circus but I'd still like to find out.

This year, I'm doing tightwire, devilstick and diabolo. No doubt, I will be doing some juggling at some point too.
