Note for those not currently in PSL: Sorry if you didn't happen to get in this time, I had tons of applicants, I'm really glad so many people were interested.
I am considering running a secondary league on top of this one, but i want to let this get a round or 2 in before I do anything like that.

lol yeah like i said, i was surprised by the interest by so many advanced spinners, so i decided to just make it a league of anybody who thought they fit the skill level
this first season is meant to be short, and a trial, after this season i'd definitely like to see you in it, i think you fit the skill level really well
somewhat of a ramble:
what i'm thinking for next season is to model it somewhat like the english premiere league for soccer.
basically, i'd run the PSL, with the same spinners all season, and also have a minor league, or intermediate league, running at the same time.
at the end of the season, the two people at the bottom of the PSL get dropped to the IPSL, and the two people at the top of the IPSL get promoted to the regular PSL
this would work well for the spinners too because if someone want's to drop out this accounts for that
it would work well for short seasons, so everything stays rather fluid and dynamic, the spinners in the PSL change every couple of months or so
but, interest has to stay this high for that to work, so we'll see -

I agree with Zombo, I think It's best to spread it out that way so that'll be a more consistan interest in the league. By the way, Strat if this were like the EPL, what if someone were to back out, Would someone be pushed up from the IPSL to the PSL or a new guy joins? What if that person wants to come back in??

fixtures are preset, there's no reason to have filming and judging times be different
Edit: @hippo, if someine backs out they have to earn their way back in by being in the top 2 of ipsl, can't just automatically be back in -

what does even that mean?
how can you judge videos that are not even released yet?
what you're suggesting is that judging starts now, when videos are not handed in... thats what it would be mean for judging and filming times to be the same. -

I'm on my phone atm I can explain more later if I need to but it's not that complex ..
on the 17th everyone turns in videos, judging begins. On the 24th they turn in new videos, judging from week 1 closes, judging for week 2 begins. Simple.
the times aren't set in stone though, I might do 10 days instead of 1 week, but either way judging and fiming don't need their own week -

alright if the turn out is that fast then it doesnt matter
still good luck turning videos 8 weeks in a row, that would take some remarkable stamina and concentration to do -

As I said, I gave 10 days for this first battle, I'll probably be alternating between saturday and wednesday due dates, so they have ~10 days for each battle
Also, I PM'd every member at least twice to verify that they were committed to making 7 videos on a weekly basis, and they all said they could -

Tried this before and it failed. It was a bit larger scale than this though. Will be interesting to see if this works. My thoughts are, small scale, this can work, larger scale, certainly didn't work then and won't work now.
