Well i recently picked up Magic the gathering again. and im getting all this diss from yugioh players who claim its better than magic. which i thought was stupid because hello "yugioh" so um yeah, discuss your feelings about this

duel masters is the dumbed down version of magic
it has the exact same game mechanisms (tap for manna, etc)

i used to be hardcore yugioher, like at all the tournaments and shit, never really was interested by magic, but yeah I think yugioh is more popular cause of the show + i think the cards look better

300? dam i spent like over 3000. i never liked magic, thought the mana system was kinda lame, and the cards' ugliness was a total turn off. yugiog had awsome looking cards, and didnt have as much shit to keep track of. yugioh for me =]. well, that is until they came out with that fucking GX shit, and then new "synchro" cards and like 5D's and all that junk. -

I saw magic cards a lot at stores but i never got into it. Back when i was in elemntary school I used to play yu gi oh all the time. I would go every week for probaly a few years and buy a pack at the cardstore I lived near. I had a lot of people in my neighborhood that played it so that was pretty much the thing to do back then.

OMG i remember when i was a crazy ass yugioh player xD
Opposite to my school was like a small shopping plaza and in the morning before school i would get my dad to drop me off to buy lunch and there would be this shop named 'Foodworks' that a fcuking Yugioh & Pokemon VENDING MACHINE !
Damn i would buy from that like daily ! =='

The artwork on Magic cards is all really good..
Now I haven't played a whole lot of yugioh, but I would say that Magic is more strategy based, as opposed to yugioh where it seems like how you build your deck decides whether you win or lose. -

Where the hell did you get that from lol? Magic's old as fuck, the first pack came out in 1993, the Yugioh comic only started in late 1996. -

AwonW is correct and if i remember correctly.. at first yugioh was the worst game
round 1= blue eyes white dragon.. now they have some rules, but banned all the vintage cards and stuff -
