    whose getting it? oh and are fighting games better on ps3 or xbox? ps3's will probably look better, but theres more ppl to play on xbox, and since its just 1v1 all the time, im not too worried about the shithead trashtalkers. also, ps3 has a 115 dollar stick that has sanwa buttons built in =] but idk, xbox or ps3 for fighting games?

    already added u guit =]. oh and pretty sure im getting it for xbox first, unless alot of my ps3 friends are getting it too. i just got REALLY back into ps3 cod4. xbox has some weird lag shit where after u shoot, it shows the animation twice and fucks u over, for m40a3 anyways =/

    ps3 = fighting games,
    arcade station = where u could see how much of a fighter u are

    so ya just get an arcade stick...

    I'll be picking it up. The 360 version looks better due to a much better anti-aliasing process that the PS3 doesn't have. The PS3 will look more jagged on fine edges than the 360 will.

    I rock a Madcatz Fightstick TE. (Currently awaiting it to be returned from repair).

    The Tournament Edition fightsticks are top-notch build quality. If you're a hardcore fighter they're a must have.

    Sanwa Denshi parts + 10lb heft + 5 year warranty = win.


    The 360 Netcode is much better than the PSN in its current build. I'd easily opt the 360 version over the PSN any day.

    Why Don't you guys just build an arcade stick and have an adapter that will support PS3 and XB360? Its really not that hard, a 15 year old me could do it, and I stoned half the time =P

    I'm learning pretty much all of the new characters. So far, picked up Makoto, Guy, Ibuki, Dudley, Dee Jay, and Hakan.

    Um, the learning curve is somewhat steep but not that bad. I think as long as you have a solid grasp of the fundamentals, which most people don't have - including pros, you will be just fine.

    Just picked up SSF4 last night. Waiting on my currently in repairs arcade stick to come back T_T, but pad will suffice for now since I learned that way originally.

    Anyways, Dictator is a beast. cr. mk > psycho-crusher. That's just downright brutal, f--- scissor kicks hahaha.

    I'm definitely digging DeeJay, Cody, and the rebalanced sagat. Granted he's still a god tier, but they made him a lot more fun to play. No more of this only: j. mp > cr. lk > cr. lk > cr. mp > t.u. > FADC > f. RH > Ultra EVERY Flipping combo.

    I'm digging into Hakan now. If you know how to play him, this dude is fucking dangerous.

    Because it's a huge update. There's tons of new things so making it into a DLC would take forever. That and some of the underlying code was changed so I don't know if having it as a DLC would help change that.

    Guy is hard to use. He's almost all risk and minimal reward. The only real reward is screwing with your opp's mind. I have a hard time finding a solid BnB combo. He also has pretty bad wakeup options and not so great anti-air. I won't give up but I just might move on to another character.

    Well, SSF4 is priced lower than a full game. Normally new games are at least $60, but this one was $39. I got $5 off. I think it's a good deal.

    Still waiting on my arcade stick to return so try out the full potential of Dictator.

    On a pad I'm still pretty good. The more I use Bison the more I like him. I've mained him 1/2 into the SF4 life-span.

    Big thing I observe is his dash speeds have increased a bit from SF4. If you anticipate an srk at point-blank, you can back dash and they'll whiff completely. That has to be a 5 frame increase on dash at least.

    The other huge improvements were his s. RH and j. hk. His s. RH has a higher vertical range so it can be used as half decent anti-air (and it'll trade if they throw out a limb). The hitbox on the j. hk was tweaked. The cross-up on it is now 90x easier to land so you can almost play a fuerte game of guess which side you're gonna have to block.

    I've been playing around with his new Ultra II. This ultra rapes people. It can punish on reaction fireball. It also can be used as a cross-up ultra. This ultra is downright nasty on the cross-up. The startup is insanely fast and recovery is near instant, maybe 6 recovery frames at most. Not exactly safe on block, but damn it's awesome.


    Regarding the new matchups. Guile, Juri, and Deejay are insanely difficult. Guile is an impenetrable fortress where you literally have to WAIT for them to fuck up. If he doesn't mess up you will not be able to get in. Can't jump due to his air-throw. It goes downhill from there.

    With Juri she's very fast on crossup. If she gets you in a corner the option is teleport quite literally. Her wheel kicks stuff any attack Bison has even cr. short.


    Deejay....his entire playstyle is based on crossup. FML.

SF4 and SSF4 are different from one another. I'm surprised there are people still playing SF4.
