Pen Modifications / Which is better:dr.kt or buster CYL?
They are both one of the best and common mod but which is better?

[font="Impact"][/font][size="4"][/size]Hey guys my mind has always been boggled by these two mods.At first i thought that the kt is the heaviest mod then i found out that the buster was heavier but then again some say the buster is too heavy for some while the kt is too dangerous cause of its tips and is too expensive but i'll let you guys decide if which mod is better.....THANKS IN ADVANCE!.....oh if theres already an existing thread that is the same as this just tell me guys and ill delete this thread..THANKS AGAIN!

It really depends on personal preference really. If you prefer a heavy mod or a heavier mod. Though I wouldn't recommend the buster because it is a style killer and it'll be hard to spin lighter pens after spinning a buster for too long. -

Seems to me,you know the 2 mods very well.
Then why not decide for yourself which mod is better? -

Well the KT can't kill you. So it's not really that "dangerous". I already have a KT and a CT and it isn't "dangerous".
I really find it easy to bust with a Buster CYL (Borrowed it from my classmate). My only problem with the Buster CYL is that it can easily tire your hands because it's heavy. You can also use KTs for busting but it won't be that easy and you will not probably achieve some high number of busts.
Buster CYL:
-Cheaper - It's only $14.99 in Penwish
-Good for busting
-Easy to make if you got the parts (unlike the KT that you need to cut alot)
-Long
-Can easily tire your hands
-We don't have most of the parts here in our country
Dr.KT
-Has high momentum
-You can easily customize the arrangement of the grips (but it may look bad if you're bad at cutting)
-We have Sailor Gels, Dr.Grip tip subs and body subs here in our country
-More expensive - $25 in Penwish
-Not that good for busting
Still don't know what's better for me though lol

it depend on the spinner. for me,i prefer buster than a kt. 1 it's cheaper 2 wide spinning area 3. the all white version look's great and soo elite.
but kt also good it's a realy eye catching color themeZ(especialy for the ryo theme one) -

Both mods are terrible. I'd say that the buster is a bit less terrible because it actually has a decent amount of spinning space, unlike the KT.

i vote kt bc its not necessarily a style killer. and for my small hands, small spinning space isnt an issue

Nah i disagree i love using the buster because i have big hands... I'm currently ordering parts for a KT so I'll have to test it out for myself. so it really depends on hand size, hand strength, and ability to spin with certain spinning space so its all personal preference. -

since I learned every pen spinning trick that I know on a Buster, I choose CYL.
The White Buster-CYL was my first mod and I still have it. So yeah..

I myself prefer KT's(american tipped) because they're lighter and I'm able to spin them faster than busters(I have small hands). However, if you have bigger hands, I'd rather go for a vicgotgame mod instead of a buster. Although I have never tested it, if gives reasonably more length than a buster. Of course, the risk of spinning a KT is arguable due to the sharp tips.

KT with dr grips>all other heavy pens.
buster is wayyyyyy to long, and way too heavy to spin at a good rate.

well i guess cause they seemed to be popular? im new and at first i really wanted a dr. kt...until i learned it was heavy, but i guess its just cuz they look nice and simple to make, both are double sided...which seem easier to make (imo) and ...once again they both look really nice...
Vote for Buster though, looks better and i like longer mods...
and a question, how can the buster/dr. kt really be that heavy? just by looking at the parts list for the buster, the supertip body isnt particularly heavy, and i doubt comssa caps are heavy either, so the only thing that would make it heavy are the dr grip grips and w/e tips they have,...i forgot..., and i have a dr. grip grip in my hand right now and it just doesnt seem heavy...so how? -

Hoiboy, kinda off topic, but this thread is proof that newbies don't read stickys nao. They seem to follow the thought that:
heavy = more momentum = easier mastery
What do they not the 'equation' is the ' = possible carpal tunnel = regret ' thought. Many newbies nao want to be pro overnight, so they use heavy pens. It's either this, or something else.
Json, since KTs use 2 tips, maybe it's because of the 'summation' or w.e of the weights of the tips. Plus, if you're hand gets used to heavy pens, it won't seem heavy that much unless you alternate heavy and light pens.
Back to topic: since i haven't had any of the 2 (need comssas for 1st buster), i'll kind base my short answer from other posts: buster > kt in weight and spinning space. Kt > buster in costumization and color schemes (unless you count bellcolors and/or colors express) -
