Serious Discussion / Vaccines - Poison

I'm sure some of you have heard about the conspiracy theories involved with vaccinations. I'm not quite sure how we can address this problem. Thimerosal is a key component in many vaccines around the world, Thimerosal contains mercury, a poison, and it absolutely shouldn't be in our drugs...this is an incredibly cereal discussion.

It is a well known fact that mercury is an incredibly toxic substance, if just a little bit of it gets into your body, it takes an incredibly long time to get out. Have you ever read the back of those old school thermometers? They say that you should avoid contact of it even getting on your skin! Just imagine what ingesting it could do.

The side effects of Mercury poisoning match those of autism, and with statistical analysis, its absolutely certain that both the vaccination rates and autism rates have increased dramatically over the past one hundred years. We have increased the number of vaccines over 3 and a half fold!

Thousands of Health professionals, nurses and journalists have banded together to try and stop this outrage!:

This highly scientific article can explain what I'm saying much better:

In the name of Jenny McCarthy, we need to stop this before its too late!

I thought mercury was only toxic if it was a gas.... Cause some people eat mercury for stomach problems... or so i've heard. I dunno. i could be wrong.

Nope, large concentrations mercury are dangerous however you get it in your body. That's also why you shouldn't eat a lot of shark, as they contain high levels of mecury.

hmm I chose not to get vaccinated for H1N1, I thought the whole thing was blown out of proportion and it's not a real bad epidemy and I was right... I just didn't want to wait in line to get the shot

I had to take blood tests for a few months and it was horrible waiting 2 hours for that so no way I am going to unnecessarily do these things.

pretty sure the only reason they blew this thing out of proportion was to relaunch the economy

Pharmaceutical companies are the enemy. They promote drug dependency at the cost of the natural remedies that are all our bodies need. They are immoral and driven by greed. Why take drugs when herbs can solve it? Why use chemicals when homeopathic solvents can resolve it? It’s time we all return to live with natural medical alternatives.

I guess the mercury in fish exists in compounds probably already solved in fat so that it's easy to absorb. Metallic mercury is rather harmless if you drink it because it can't be absorbed by your body. The gas is really toxic because of the high vapor pressure. What do we learn from this? If your thermometer breaks and you can't get out of the room: drink the mercury!

Homeopathy is a lie. You're the kind of person that thinks Head-On works, right?

What does this have to do with the government? This is about people making radical claims without any scientific support to back them. Many of the anti-vacciners are anti-fluoride as well....

yeah it does have to do with the government. bc it in the end they are the ones responsible for promoting things such vaccines. whether it be a conspiracy or just a mess up we also have to verify or at least listen to both sides of the story before accepting something thats widely promoted to everyone.

And at this point, I would say we have tested fluoride a pretty significant amount, but there is only so much we can test. When talking about these long term types of ailments, like bone degeneration and cancer, we can only do so much to check whether or not a particular chemical is causing it, because there are so many variables to control for. A huge number of the studies in the meta-analysis I've posted couldn't meet this standard of refining for specific controls, and none of them were able to draw a specific causal relationship between fluoride and bone degeneration or cancer. Personally, I don't see fluoride as having that significant of a benefit, and think the money could be spent else where, but to call it a poison and demand mass amounts of research be poured into its long term negative effects is absurd.
