We're thinking about buying a new car, (for my dad) or if it's cheaper for me =3
Any ideas? probably 30-40,000 dollars or if you can recommend any good used cars or cheap older models that are good as well, or if you think we should wait for a certain car to come out =P. Thanks! -

I knew this guy who would refuse to drive the company vehicle, when asked why he responded, its a dodge. and they were like, whats wrong with that, he was like you know I realized something, nice people drive fords.
This guy wouldn't date girls if they drove anything but a Ford.

Don't buy a fucking Prius, please. You're not saving the environment or anything by doing so. If anything you're making it worst. If you want fuel efficiency and to save the earth go with a VW/Audi TDI.
30-40,000 dollars? Seriously? At that price just get a new car.

A used BMW M3 is around that price. Less if you get an older one
A used 2008 Acrua TL Type S is around $30k.
Or do you want to wait Rally bred Focus RS to come the the states?
But if you want something for less, Get a Honda. Like most cars, totally dependable.... if you dont abuse it.
Seriously, what are you looking for, a family sedan? Sport Wagon? Minivan.... urghhh. We can go at this for months and not give you a car that you'll want/need. -

for 30k-40k, you can get a nice german compact car I think or luxury brands like Lexus, Infiniti and Acura. definitely can hget some higher end stuff with 40k
look for something with good mileage, test drive it, if you like the interior, you're set. -

You could wait and get a Fiat 500 when they come out in the US in the beginning of next year. They are quite popular here in Europe. They will probably start around 13,000$, and be around 17,000$ if you want it to look coolio. A bit more than the standard hatchback, but way cheaper than a Mini, which it probably is better to compare it to.

Aside from beer, bratwurst, sauerkraut and leather pants (which only Bavarians wear and those are barely even Germans) we are pretty much known for well-made cars.
Well I don't know how old you are and how long you've been driving but another thing to consider is 1 safety & 2 insurance. If you've only been driving for a few months you won't need and shouldn't drive a car with tons of HP that goes super fast just because you lack experience handling a car. Also fast cars cost more insurance, especially if driven by a younger less-experienced driver. -

German cars are "over engineered" and thus have more issues ( I love them tho will get one bit later=p). I would buy a german car later when money isn't an issue. If you are as loaded as you claim your parents to be get a C benz or 5 series. Maint. will be higher but you will have higher comfort/prestige. If it's for you get a cheapo civic (awesome reliable and nice). 30-40k car for a kid is a waste of money no matter how much money parents have. I drive a civic now and it's the best car for being a car. I'll upgrade to a family car and a fun car next but civic is a great peace of mind.

german cars tend to break more easily which is why i dont recommend them
bmw especially breaks like crazy......personal experience
but i think german cars in general are stronger so if you get into an accident, youre more likely to survive loooooool
but i still say go with japanese cars -

Yeah thats not the case here in the US. You drive a big car and are small,... you're compensating for something, or two. But it really depends on the car. Most of the cars you listed are used as family cars, except for the H3.... and Hummer which went bankrupt and are now owned by the Chinese.... They aren't dependable to start with. Hummers the douche-bag car.
And if you're driving a huge car that screams "LOOK @ ME! I'M RICH AND BADASS"... who's the one that's showing off? -

Hummer's have a shitty MPG, I don't know about PH, but gasoline is expensive here, and Hummer is practically going bankrupt because nobody needs a car that costs so much money to refill, especially in a recession. -

Get a Nissan. My mom had a Nissan and it lasted 14 years (it didn't die, she sold it). If you want sporty head-turner, get the Nissan 350-z its about $40,000. If you want a cool, nice looking (black) sedan, then get the Nissan Maxima. Idk how much...maybe upper 20's. My moms care was a maxima, and the new models look extremely nice for their price. I'd recamend a nice black (maybe used) Maxima. 2010 or 2009 model.
