Hey folks (especialy gamers, and even more MMO gamers),
have you seen this cool mouse: Razer Naga This site contains a review...Just wondered, what do you think about the mouse? I personally think it's cool, but dunno what I could use 17 buttons for

It's overkill. I game just fine with my 2-button Razer Salmosa.

That's not true. In fact, most games have a reasonably low DPI cap. -

as long as you're aware of what dpi, or even better, adjustable, you need, then you're set. -

ok, so i don't know anything about gaming mouses. What is the point of having so many buttons?

for games like WoW i guess, there's a lot of spells so it's just easier to press the buttons -

I'm with nate. I rock a Razer Salmosa as well, anything over 1800dpi is pretty overkill in terms of sensitivity. less than a MM of travel and your cursor is across the screen on a 1920x1080 monitor.
The only other mouse I'm considering is the Cyborg R.A.T. 7 because it's a really cool concept.

Gaming mice are really well marketed, I can tell because they're completely unnecessary.

In MMORPG games (this mouse was basically created for MMO games) you can probably set each button to automatically put different clothes/equipment on. In that way you can create sets and equip very easy and fast.
BTW I thought that the mouse would be huge, but when I looked at the dimensions it's less than I expected. The mouse is only 1.64 inches (h), 2.72 inches (w) and 4.52 inches (d). I don't think that it's very huge, meaning the buttons need to be very close together and might be hard to press the exact button you need. -

cant you just put the spells on the keyboard? or at least is there is a battle mode in which all the keys on the keyboard = skill? then u can turn it off so that u can use it for other purposes? (for WOW plyers)

You can bind in-game controls to the buttons on the mouse, thus having easier access to them. -
