Ok, to start off I'd like to say that this isn't meant to be some mystical, omnipotent mod of infinate awesomeness that will be loved by all (although that would be nice happy.gif ), it's just something I cooked up when I was starved for parts and looking for something to do. If you really think it's that bad then why waste your time flaming it?
Also, it's really, really long, and i'm okay with that.(of course, it doesn't have to be long...) in the words of imatt,
•The one thing to know is that there is no pen which is better than another purely based on statistics and opinion.
•Each person eventually will find a pen which will suit them individually.

    YOUR CHOICES FOR THIS MOD:
the Dr.7 mod is flexible, in terms of its construction. there are multiple ways you can make it, each suited for a different style of spinning.
-->if you want a full-length mod that is fairly light, go to version 1.
--> if you want a mod that is shorter than the original mod, and whose length is variable, (your choice) go to version 2.
--> if you want a full- length mod OR a shorter mod that can write, for school purposes, etc., go to version 3.
(VERSION 3 IS A PROTOTYPE, COMING SOON!)
--> if you want a full-length mod that is heavier at the ends with more momentum, go to version 4.
(VERSION 4 IS A PROTOTYPE, COMING SOON!)

    Spoiler:

    VERSION 1:

VERSION 2, alternate grip scheme and center grip:

    VERSION 3:
    coming soon!
    VERSION 4:
    coming soon!
    side-by-side:
    full-length mod
    vs.
    shortened version
    vs.

!!!- if you make this mod and PM me pictures I will post them in the gallery with your name-!!!

    TUTORIAL

    step one
disassemble the pencils, so you have the barrels, tips, tube with mechanism attached, and backpiece all separate.
keep the junk on the left. (the two barrels, the tips, the retracting mechanisms, and ONE backpiece)

    step two
cut the clip off the backpiece then cut off the thicker part where the eraser fits in, so you have a single, uniformly thick tube approximately 2/3 of a cm long.
    you'll get this:

throw away all but the aforementioned tube, e.g. throw away the top 2 things.

    step three
wrap tape around the newly cut tube thingy, and make sure that if you bent it while cutting it is is now round and unbent.
(you don't need a picture for this)

    step four
put the tip and retractable mechanism back inside the pencils, they will now look like they first did except without the backpieces. if you want you can cut the tube so it doesn't rattle while spinning, but this makes it slightly more difficult to put the tips on. you can just hold the pencil tip-side down so the mech falls partly through the hole, then push the tip against the barrel hole and screw the tip will eventually catch onto the mechanism. it worked for me.

    step five
put the taped tube that you cut earlier into the open ends of the barrels you just attached the tips to, adding more or less tape as necessary.

    step six
put the RSVP grip pieces on the ends of the mod, then put the Dr. Grip grips over them.
    You're done! YAAAAAAY!

    -------------------------------------------------

    Spoiler:

this is a simple modification to the mod that will make it shorter, it can be as short as you desire.

    step 1
make the Dr.7 mod, version 1.

    step 2
pull the mod apart at the middle.

    step 3
use the serrations of a knife to shave down the side of the mod without the tips on them.

    Spoiler:

    Q: it's really long
    A: not a question
    Q: can I shorten it?
A: duh! you can cut the barrels to whatever length you desire, but be forewarned they are brittle. you should refrain from using any sort of clippers or scissors because it could result in a fail. try the method i explained in step 4.5
SIDENOTE: the grip scheme isn't absolutely necessary. personally, I like Dr. Grip over RSVP for the ending grip scheme, but you could use g2, dr.grip over g2, a full RSVP grip flyin' solo, or whatever you want to add onto the ends, be creative. there don't even need to be grips, also try out a center grip.
Q: can you make it write?
A: yes! i've completed an MP version of the mod, but it's a prototype. it is EXTREMELY ugly and breaks often. perhaps YOU can come up with an idea for how to make the mod functional!
SIDENOTE: i will post pictures of the MP prototype soon, and will eventually add a section to the tutorial on how to make it write.

Also, thanks to nachoaddict for being the first to comment on this mod and for giving constructive criticism instead of flame-age wub.gif

    First of all:

"•Each person eventually will find a pen which will suit them individually. I like this pen and if you don't, too bad."

If you really want to get this approved you should make a mod that suits a wide range of people. That way you can get more support for it and therefore more chance of getting approval.

Looks decent but just a few suggestions:

It's really long. Offer a way to shorten the mod. Either cutting the barrels or something else. Not everyone "likes" uber long mods like you.
Great pictures are always a good way to make your mod look better. So maybe invest in a camera?

Cost I think is great. Except that you didn't include the dr grip and profile cost which I suggest you do.

Those pencils are extremely prone to breaking, and then you put Dr grip tips on them?
This reminds me of the Dr. Pencil mod.

Oh dear. I didn't realize they were those cheap pencils from office depot cuz there weren't any close up pics of them.

they aren't dr. grip tips... that would severely compromise durability, and i doubt you can put dr. grip tips on the thing anyway. they're dr. grip GRIPS, which have no effect on durability.
and yes, they are the cheap pencils from office depot, if you're talking about the papermate ones. however, you can get 30 of them for 10 US dollars, so even if they did break (which they haven't yet, and i have been spinning this mod frequently) you can interchange the barrels in the span of about ten seconds, so the mod is also semi-disposable.
