Off-topic / Free FPS Online?

Any good ones out there?

    Any free MMO-FPS(don't know if that's even an acronym)? For computer only. One without lag, big enough community and something similar to the latest Call of Duty. Need some suggestions.

    Tremulous is very good. All the servers there have really loyal players. I used to play on a certain server a ton. Was an admin on it. Then the owner went berserk and kicked everyone in my clan. I lost interest.

    Also, urban terror. By far, the best free fps I played.

    AVA from ijji is incredibly good, but for some reason, some people including me just can't play it. wont start up properly. i've managed to play it about 10 times, and im still eagerly awaiting a fix.

    soldier front is alright. AVA seems pretty good, but is kinda hard for me xD and i personally thing crossfire and combat arms are terrible.

    Tremulous seems quite weird. With the gravity switching thing and monsters. I want something war-realistic like, like CoD or CS, but free. Anyone know any good ones?

    Operation 7 has got to be the best free FPS game I've played.

    Combat arms is the best free FPS in my opinion. google some montages to see what it looks like.

    AVA, Operation 7, CA, they all seem like good games, but how's the community? A lot of hackers? Any lag? I heard CA is full of hackers.

    Most likely going to try AVA this summer, but shadow said it works on some people only =/

    in terms of realism, CA is terrible. it's an alright time spender, i can agree to that, but the hacking is HORRENDOUS. period. in 4/10 games, some douche will stand in a corner and knife air and get a 20 kill streak. it never goes away.

    in AVA, hacking is rare. whenever a hack comes out, it's fixed in the next patch. yeah i've had problems running it, but i would never go through so much trouble to play a game i didn't really think was worth it

    operation 7 looks interesting but i can't get it to start either sleep(1).gif ill try it again after i get FiOs
