Wow, thanks. But, what's the IndexMiddleAround?

Same concept as the indexpinkybackaround reverse, but instead of letting it spin across your whole hand and then catching it around the pinky, let it spin once on the top of your hand, and then catch it on slots 23. -

Do you think I could get some notation? -

IndexMiddlearound Normal
- Indexaround 12-23
- Indexaround Normal 12-12[p][s 0.75] ~ Middlearound Normal 23-23[s 0.25][c]

Hmm, that's not like a Bak or Neo Bak fall, is it? -
Date: Mon, Dec 17 2007 01:38:12
No. O_o
It's an Indexaround, but you let the pen fall down to the 23 slot instead of the 12 slot. >_< -

OH! See, that's something that clarified a lot. THANKS! xD
An IA is goes in the direction of a Bak Rev, right? -
Date: Mon, Dec 17 2007 01:49:53
Yes, all Fingerarounds go in the same direction as Thumbaround.

Thanks again for all of the help! ^^
EDIT:
Um, would this trick be best performed palm down? or palm vertical? -

Palm down. -

Should the movement after the IA .75 become almost "shadow-like" to slide into the 23 slot?
-

IndexMiddlearound is much more easily performed just like a regular Indexaround, just let the pen fall one more slot down. You as well just call it: Indexaround Normal 12-23.

Thanks Sketch, can wait to see the vid.
EDIT:
yeah, that was really clear.
Somehow, Eriror is able to do it palm down. Any advice on that? -
Date: Mon, Dec 17 2007 02:54:06
What Eriror does is not an IndexMiddlearound, it's the IndexPinkyBackaroundReversesomethingorother that is talked about in this thread.
That hybrid is broken down as:
(palm down) Indexaround Normal 12-12[p][s 1.0] ~ Devil's Shadow 12-34[s 1.0][c]
He starts it off with a Twisted Sonic to gain momentum. Ask about that hybrid in the appropriate thread, not this one. -

Oh yeah, different trick, my bad.

Going back to IndexMiddlearound, it would make more sense if that name went to a Middlearound that traveled around both the middle and index fingers... and it should be called MiddleIndexaround, since it starts and ends as a Middlearound:
MiddleIndexaround 23-23 -
Date: Mon, Dec 17 2007 03:40:35
Palm Down IndexMiddleAround = IndexAround 12-12 ~> FL Shadow 12-23
Think of TA Ext(not the one with Reverse Neosonic), but instead of from T1-12 slot, from 12-23 slot.
Confusing? -

A bit. So, how many revolutions is that total?
-
Date: Mon, Dec 17 2007 04:11:28
~1.5, since you change from a vertical position of the pen to a horizontal position, it's not exact.
You can still perform the palm-down version like the palm-sideways version, with 1.0 rotation. -

Ok, I decided to spend some time making a concept tutorial for this trick.
Also shows how to do 'ThumbIndexMiddleAround', and a bonus idea for a combo finish.
no special tips or whatever, just the concept. the rest of the learning is just your own plain practice.

All of the hybrids in your video have extra top spins to them, which would make them more than just around hybrids, you are bringing Shadows into the equation.
-
Date: Mon, Dec 17 2007 07:56:08
hmm... IndexMiddleBackAround Reverse?
-
Date: Mon, Dec 17 2007 08:10:10
No need to name those. The IndexMiddlearound that I talked about could just be written as Indexaround 12-23, it should be pretty obvious what that means. You hybrids combine Fingerarounds with Shadows and won't be easy to name, even unofficially.

THANKS DT! That helped so much!
