This thread will be used to report bugs/errors encountered using this board.
Please post a description of the error/bug, along with the steps taken before the bug/error ocurred.
DO NOT:
- post suggestions/improvements for this board, just bugs or problems
- post bugs/errors that could compromise security. PM a board moderator about any potential security problems.
I'll look at this thread periodically, and try to fix any problems.

I wanted to edit my avatar, it's working but the text color is white... and the background color also.
I recorded it:

My steps:
1. I went to my profil
2. I went to the avatar place.
3. I chose my picture from the PC (not completly on the screen, sry for that)
4. I saw that the text color is white! Background color also!
5. I saved it.
6. I saw that it's working.^^

I can't vote in a sondage (warmup is the only sondage for the moment ^^), i put the board in french, so i think is the cause of this bug

sorry eso can't do anything about it, just remember to read all your messages, before deleting them. Send a PM to yourself, read it, then delete it will solve the problem.

Yeah, I just wrote myself a PM with the title "Placeholder PM - DO NOT DELETE" to keep the post count at 0. Not very elegant, but it works. It just sits in the Inbox.

In the control panel, if you use the silver wonder skin, the 'Welcome to your control panel' is white along with the background so you can't see it.
Minor bug though. -

sometimes after i log in and press where i want to go it will say i have no permission blah blah blah
and i have to log in again
these are my steps
1.go to site (d-uh)
2.log in
3.go somewhere like the rules
4.it says i have no permission blah blah blah
5.i log in again it now works
6.a few clicks later and it happens again -

I had this happen when I was browsing 2 Invision boards at the same time. I think the cookies are being mixed.

When I tried to put "Genesis Member" in my sig, below the Genesis image thing, it cut out the last r. But it works fine with any other words or when I put it on top of the image.

Not sure if this is a bug but
Sort of annoying, can be ignored as well
After posting a blog, the commands at the bottom (edit, delete, publsih etc.) have no buttons except for edit and delete. Instead they are normal pieces of text clumped together, so its sort of difficult to read. -

Minor issue, since it probably only effects me, but on Darkness only people with 20% warn show two pips, like 40%. Other skins are fine.
Also, for some reason some forums with no new posts show as having new ones. I think its due to threads being moved out of them... not really sure how to fix it. Used to happen on UCPSB as well, but it would just go away next time I visited, since new posts weren't remembered. Here its perminant though... slightly annoying. Might only be me though. -

Ok, so I wanted to change my display name, so I put in "nathan" (no quotes) and as soon as I tabbed out of the box it told me that name was already in use with a red "X".
So I refreshed the page, tried to put in " nathan", tabbed out of the box and a green check appeared. So I entered my password and hit submit, and it didn't make the change (I think there was an error message that I didn't see, because the green check mark made me over confident.)
So I guess the bug is that when changing display name, it checks twice to see if the name is in use. Once when you type it in and again when you hit submit. But the two checks are different, which mislead me. Specifically, the first one differentiated "nathan" and " nathan" because of the space, but the second check did not.
(In case you can't tell, I settled on "nathan.")

yes, the first check checks if your name is already taken, the second checks if your new name is valid (having a space to begin with is not valid). perfectly normal, not a bug.

Ok, I don't have the problem for now (past 2 days). But anyway, I experienced the problem the moment I log into the board for the day. For the matter of fact, closing the browser delete the cookies (the setting) so it's no different.

I have the same problem with uploading my Personal Photo, except that mine's within the limits...I've tried JPEG and GIF so far. -

If I send a message and CC several people, and check the boxes "hide the cc'd names from the message recipients" and "add a copy of this message to me sentbox" then everything seems to work fine.
But when I look in my sentbox, I can't see who I cc'd anymore. It not only hides the list from the recipients, but it hides the list from me as well.
Bug? I dunno, but it sure is annoying. -

When I go to a section, and I look through the topics, I usually click the link to go to that topic/forum. I have this habit if clicking the mouse a lot, so when I was clicking the white part of the forum, it took me to that forum. If this isn't clear enough please ask, but is this a bug/error?

EDIT: For that matter, I can't even see the image location till I get the quote of the particular post and get the URL, and even then, you can't access standalone photobucket pics... -

my friend said that when he tried to sign up for the board, on the page where you fill out the info, name, pw, gender, time, human, tricks, etc... he couldn't sign up for the board. he said everytime he did it, after filling everything out, it doesn't work. then, he noticed that he couldn't check the box that says that he complies by the rules and all the things put in there is correct. he said that it wasn't that he couldn't select the box, but it was due to a lack of the box being there in the first place! i don't know what's wrong. i signed up fine, but he says he wants to join, but cant. can anyone think of why this would happen?

THE WIKI DOESN'T WORK!!!
I'm using Darkness.
It gives me that 404 page not found error every time, if I'm a logged in or not... (after clicking the wiki link at the top of UPSB).
Typing upsb.info/wiki directly into address bar works though. -

I don't know if it's supposed to be like this, but receiving PMs in the SoftTech skin looks really weird. Everything just appears directly on the background instead of in a box.

I'm using firefox 2.0.0.13
intel core duo E2140, 512MB ram, onboard VGA.
When i opened 4 tabs (different thread) at the same time, my firefox freeze and the memory usage for firefox.exe reach until 130MB.
I thought this is because my notebook, but when i try with other PC which is better than mine, this still happen.
I Think this is because of too many javascript and images. Any suggestion? -

If I click View New Posts, read some of the threads and click View New Posts again, those threads will be marked read, but when I close the browser, come back and click it again, the same threads are marked as having new posts again.

we upgraded the blog version and all skins except IP Board and Ip Board Bro are incompatible. For now we're forcing those two skins. -

At first: I don't know if this has already been reported..
Its smth. I call the radio offline bug,
sometimes i can't open a upsb site, instead of this there is only a big red "radio offline" on top of a blank site (see picture).
Besides, meanwhile it happens very often, that the "radio offline" does net stand at the position where it should be, right under the shoutbox, but on random positions al over the website (also see picture).
It's not a big bug but its kinda annoying after a while

seems to be an ff3 beta bug, im also using ff3 on a linux laptop, i will test if this error also occurs with other webbrowsers...
btw: using ff3 b5 on ubuntu 8.04 with gforce 9500M GS and the nvidia driver (maybe this might help

Just started using Firefox 3 and am noticing the Radio offline bug described above.

Never seen it with Firefox 2. Haven't found any possible cause yet.
Edit: I've also noticed that sometimes when I click a link, it'll load the page, then instantly load a blank page with either "Radio offline" as the only words or "The server is currently unavailable".
Edit: It's easy to reproduce by refreshing the main page a few times. -

Okay, so i keep on getting logged out every 5 minutes or so, or whenever i click the "UPSB" link at the top of the page.
Also, i tried changing my sig but whenever i click "update" it gives me an error saying that the sig is too long. Isn't the limit for text 7 lines long? mine was 4 -

Have you cleared your cache? Try a hard refresh, I think it's CTRL + F5, not sure if that's for all browsers though.
