General Discussion / Why are there so many Left Handed Spinners

Have you ever realized that their are so many left handed spinners?
Why do you think that is? -

Are there many left-handed spinners? Let's see.
260 left-handed versus around 1060 right-handed spinners. About a 1:4 ratio.. Is that bad or something? -

Well, seeing how there are much more regular right handed then left handed people that ratio seems pretty high. It's the same as with other stuff of this kind though, I'd guess the stance ratio of skateboarders is about the same, yet not many of them are what you call "left footed".

wow their are really that many Right Handed spinners.
It isn't bad i can just never find any Right Handed Spinners. And then when i try to look up a tut 80% of them are left handed spinners
I have nothing against them it can just get confusing sometimes. For example when I was learning Charge i ended up doing a reverse charge without knowing it because it was spinning the same way a LH spinner had it spinning. I didn't figure out i was doing it wrong till i tried to the Twisted sonic. -

well my friend spins lefty but writes right. and i spin right but write lefty. maybe alot of ppl r like that becuz there are more right handed writers than left

I write right, my skateboard stance is left, I throw ball with my left hand, I play football with my left foot and I spin right. This all just seems random to me.
By the way, when I tried finger fitness exercises, I found that both hands are good in something else... it's all just random -

LOL, must be talking about me. Place the mirror next to the monitor if it's confusing you that much.
And if you think you have it bad, think how other left handed spinners felt prior to my tutorials. How do you think I learned the tricks? It was either from text or from right handed tutorials. -

lol Eso made most tutorials so...
sure it can be a bother but you can easily mirror it.
that's why I asked sketching to mirror all the pictures in the wiki so that they're easier to look at for RH. -

Request: rename topic title from "their" to "there", please :D

I think it's due to your perspective. Perhaps you just see more left handed spinners than you do right handed, that doesn't mean that it is a fact there are more, just more that you've seen.
It's kind of like seeing a lot of black people, and then saying that black people are more abundant than other people. It's simply perspective. -

Hm, learned almost all my tricks from Eso... I'm right handed and didn't need a mirror -

There is apparently 10 right handers for every left hander. It was in my school diary. Do people really find it that hard to learn from tutorials with left handers? I don't really focus on the hand, I focus on what the pen is doing.
I learnt most of my tricks from turtlespin though, and they had both LH and RH views. I miss turtlespin -

Maybe its because the right "imaginative" side of the brain controls the left side of the body.

I don't see why everyone has trouble with Eso's tutorials. I meen I'm right handed and I've learned from them just fine.

yepyep eso's tutorials are fine once you get used to it..

Correct. I converted many rightys into leftys. -
Date: Fri, Dec 21 2007 08:24:44
LOL eso, I am still a righty.
But I think I will learn faster if I were a lefty. -
Date: Sat, Dec 22 2007 00:34:05
i watch a lot of eso's tutorials too and i dont' have any problems learning even though i'm a righy...
but anyone know the ratio of how many people spin with their nondominant hand as well?
so out of all the rightys, about how many spin with their left as well
and out of all the lefties, about how many spin with their right as well
i tend to see a lot of videos where people spin with boths hands
and although i guess it adds more...flair...to the video, i don't really like spinning with both hands -

I will never be able to spin Left handed ...My left hand is retarded if I try to move my index finger I end up moving my index middle and my small finger down -
