    Anyone use this mod?
    http://www.upsb.info/wiki/index.php/RSVP_CX
I just made it since I don't have any HGG's and didn't have any metal tips. I don't know what I think of it yet. Should I still try and get a MX or is the CX good enough for most tricks? It seems kind of heavy compared to the RSVP V1 and bictory I've been using.

wait, you just said that you had just made it huh.gif

well, although i don't use it, it's gonna be more balanced than the v1 and bictory

if it's too hard to get a mx, then just stick with the cx, it's a good enough step up from what you've been using

and if you throw on the anyball grip at the end, it probably should be good enough for learning most tricks

Once again, if it feels good to you, then use it. Go ahead and try any mods you can get your hands on, but use whatever feels good to you until you decide to try something else.

Go ahead and read the RSVP CX thread on UCPSB to see what was said there.

I'd say, if you can get plenty of RSVPS and the mod feels good to you, you've found a great mod to use.

the mx is balanced a bit better imo so if you can get any metal tips then use that instead

I have a cx i sometimes use, i guess its good for practicing when i use a v1 in school.

but mostly i use mx and bictory to spin.

I find it sweeter then a regular MX, but not as nice as a Signo Tipped MX. It's all up to the person that spins it.

(Mainly because it’s the only mod I am able to make on the count of I live up north)

The only thing I don't like about this mod is that I don't know how to put a grip on. The thingy-ma-bobby at the front is too thick for any grips I have. Any suggestions?
(Or did I make it wrong?)

A fairly stretchy grip, like the Papermate Profile grip, should fit if you use a smaller portion of the grip. You'll just have to find a grip that is stretchy enough for you to get on.

Heres my CX with the profile grips for who ever asked. You don't have to get fancy like I did but when you stretch the grips I find that if you cut a section then put it over a pair of scissors and slightly open then that works pretty well.

yea, i made this just to make it and its pretty good. not one of my favorites but i do spin it. the coolest thing about this mod is that if you take off both of the caps and then put them on the opposite ends, you have a grip to write with. its pretty cool!

I can't find any inserts for this mod.

this mod is basically a mx insert bangHead.gif
so just find an mx insert but change the COG line on the insert

Is there any way to make this mod heavier?

  20. Sfsr
    Date: Mon, May 5 2008 20:03:21

Yes, as stated in the original tutorial you can add a tip to the front. You can also make it heavier in your own ways, like adding a tip in the cap, grip on the front cap, etc.

what are the stats for a rsvp cx compared to a rsvp mx?

  22. sarugio1
    Date: Fri, Jun 11 2010 03:58:43

my idea is to put some g3/signo tip in the front cap and the back cap to make it like a reeder and also heavier.

i will make one as soon as i gotsome rsvp
