So... we want to sell some UPSB shirts through PenWish.

We want to determine how much the customers (that means, YOU) are willing to pay for those shirts.

Once we have a target price, we'll figure out how good the quality of the shirt will be.

i.e., if the target price is low, then maybe we'll only have black and white shirts with a front or back print.

If the price is high, then we can put a full color print on both sides of the shirt.

    Vote!

    $ = US Dollars

$6 us? i m a cheapo.. i think writing UPSB on the back and then a small logo in front looks nice... possible to make both black and white?

for shipping just think of it as standard shipping costs for PenWish.

also don't forget that the shirts will be sold like a regular item on the store, you can buy it whenever you want (as long as there is stock) and also that you can order it along with other items from PenWish.

eh, well, the more expensive it is, and the more graphics that are on it, i probably wouldn't buy it just 'cause it'd be too..flashy?...for me

if it was just a black shirt with white lettering and some designs/logo on it, i'd buy it
or you know, even a white shirt with some different colored designs/words on it

if there's too much designs on it, i wouldn't buy it cause of the increased price, but just because of how it looks

i dunno about the majority of people, but imo i like plainer shirts happy.gif

now...is it just gonna be a t-shirt, or are there gonna be hoodies and jackets and etc... too? or is this undecided yet?

It depends, if it looks nice and its comfy then 20 isnt much as Ill be wearing it all the time

  21. yxTay

IMO, the more important thing is the quality of the material of the shirt. It'd be better if the shirt is comfortable and can last long without changing shape. I won't mind paying more than $20 even if such a shirt is plain. wink.gif

i don't think that names on the shirt anywhere will end up being done since that requires a lot of time for whoever is manufacturing them since each shirt will have to be custom made
and seeing as how many people will probably buy it, i doubt that it'll come with names

maybe admins/mods may get their names on it seeing as how they're special and deserve to be special for watching over this board all the time

It could be optional, you know, pay more for a custom shirt.

As for the actual design, I think the pose of the rock demon horns/Spiderman's pose with the pen resting between the thumb and middle (and possibly ring too) fingers. happy.gif

if pewish doesnt work out there is always cafepress.com although I'm not sure how good quality that is.

The design should be a pen in motion around a hand somehow. The pen should be blurred like except more defined.

Like that blur would be solid lines in the design. But the blur needs to be recognizable as a pen. So just draw the pen and then draw lines representing the blur.

  28. -JC-
    Date: Mon, Dec 24 2007 05:32:27

mhmm..i dont' really want a pic of a real hand on a shirt that i wear imo
where would you put such a design of a hand spinning a pen huh.gif

i say maybe take some famous pen mods such as the metallic comssa, rsvp mx, dr. kt, adn stuff like that and then have UPSB as the text and have Universal Pen Spinning Board in smaller text under the larger UPSB text
as for the positioning of teh otehr graphics, i dunno where to put them
but for teh text, either the back of the shirt (large), or teh left side of the chest (small)
the pics of the mods will probably be around that text...maybe around it, in a triangle?..maybe?

i'd pay anything lower than 30 but preferabbly 20 or lower. Can we have it custom made, like our names on it but evry shirt has like the UCPSB logo on it.

i like shirts that look like it was photoshoped with splatter brushes, maybe we could do tht with the logo. not in the middle either...tooo center ish

  32. -JC-
    Date: Mon, Dec 24 2007 14:45:45

people should start submitting ideas as to what the logo should even be wink.gif
unfortunately i don't have photoshop and i fail at designing (well not so much at the latter, but there are many people who are better)

people should post their ideas of what the upsb logo should actually be and then after a week or something, we all vote for about another week

with all you people and your insert designs, this should be no problem for you tongue.gif

oh, and someone should officially announce the date for when to start submitting ideas

the first step is knowing the target price.

then we'll start drawing many designs, and have a vote on that too.

I doubt we'll do other types. Let's start with only shirts first.

The design may or may not be the UPSB logo.

Adding custom name for shirts is gonna cost way too much.

drawing my design for the shirt, i put my name on it to see how it would look, and it looked horrible.

its because we are not doing a one-time delivery to everybody.

    http://www.comboutique.com/shop/homeboutique-8070.html

Here, you can made many teeshirt, and sell it at the price you want and you receive money (after to pay the server ?)
I think is a better idea, you can made what you want and choose the price.

but cool idea.... I think I'll pay up to 15$, mostly because I can't spend to much money right now X:
but selling things like wristbands and stuff, would be awesome, you got my vote.

when you say full color printing, do you mean like a picture ironed onto the shirt? or silk screening? If its the one thats ironed-onto the shirt, I would'nt buy it even if its cheap... its very uncomfortable when you wear it... we should go for shirts that can be worn for casual uses as well, but thats just me, I'm very picky when it comes to shirts

I would prefer a hoodie coz if we get some cheap t-shirt print then it will flake off bit by bit when we wash it .id say maybe the upsb logo on the shoulder or soemthing then have UPSB written in bold on de front then have some phrase or something written on the back.
i said 20 coz i wouldnt mind if it was somethign that was comfy and had what i liked on it and seeing as im like one of the only psers in Ireland (first wooo) it might spread the word or soemthing (not likely but anywho)

I don't want attraction. It's annoying when people come up to you just to waste your time with stupid question because of your shirt.

IF it was a hoodie i would def pay what ever the cost, as long as it aint too showy and graphic intense. 30$ probo for the hoodie & 15 bucks for a shirt. And a watch, that would be freaking sweet. i can come up wit a design biggrin.gif

As long as it isn't overly flashy with a huge hand a million pens all over it, I'm down for 20+. I think a simple-ish vector design with either the logo or USPB on it would be the best.

o.0...i didn't understand your phrase at all... "I'm a penspinner, deal" ; what's the deal suppose to mean huh.gif

and i thnk that we should work on getting a shirt first, and then do wristband
we have to end up getting wristbands in the end of course, just not yet

as for the wristband though, on a side note, what material should be use for it...?

as in, "deal with it". like.. if you have a problem with it, I don't give a damn, essentially.
haha, I basically meant that I want a shirt that tells the world that I like spinning pens.

Don't put Universal PEN SPINNING Board. We'll get negative comments for sure.

    "Im a pen-spinner" message

I don't want attraction. It's annoying when people come up to you just to waste your time with stupid question because of your shirt.
You wouldn't want a shirt that says "IMA HUSTLA!" right?

The shirt should look universal to everyone.

I to agree with you on the color, becuase I personally enjoy grayscale more than color.

But anywho, now to make my point. The entire point in having a Universal PEN SPINNING Board shirt is to let everyone know that you SPIN PENS, and of course what board it is your representing. The UNIVERSAL and BOARD parts come in being that it is the BOARD in which every one person can come to and be understood thus being a UNIVERSAL (or international as some would say is a better term) BOARD. If you don't want the attention than don't wear the shirt.

    Also I wouldn't wear a "IMA HUSTLA!" shirt becuase i'm not a 'hustla' and I don't hustle.

yea now that u mention it, the back is a bit empty

maybe add a small design that's not as big as the one on front, and that would be fine

as for the logo, i really like the old one, and not the one at the top left-hand corner

  91. Zombo
    Date: Sun, Jan 13 2008 06:01:38

usually the shirts I wear have a fancy way of writing the title on the wront (i.e. spelling out UPSB in some kind of intricate font) along with some kind of picture to fill out the bottom (I suppose what you have now, cybrax, in the front is fine, although a bit abstract) with a big big logo in the back (like the UPSB logo). You could add the address somewhere too I guess.

Man, the logo looks like shit right now. Give me to logo in a flat image.

This shirt better be 100% cotton.

I usually wear zip-up jackets with the jacket zipped to about the top of the pockets.

Having a nice back and relatively empty front would suck, then nobody would see it.

Something on the front at about breast level would be awesome.

    Meh.

I don't get it. We need a real designer if we want to do this. We just had a meeting in my school about our school hoodies, and the company we're getting them off has a designer who is gonna make a logo/print specifically for us. They showed some examples which looked really cool. If we could just get someone like that design this it would be much better.
