So since my mom and dad's company gets pilot easytouches for free, i kept wanting to make a good mod out of them, and while in the car today, i took two easy touches and made a pretty good mod
It's called called a ETG2 vortex for its use of Pilot Easytouch and G2.
Characteristics
* Length: depends how you grip, mine was 19 cm
* Weight: Comssa Metallic < ETG2 vortex < Dr. KT
* COP=COG
Materials:
* 2x G2 grips
* 2x easytouch barrel
* 1x connecting tube*
*I dont know what kind of connecting tube I used, since it was from a pen that you get as an ad. Anyway, its from one of those pens that when you click it, theres a message thing in the barrel that switches, and i just used the tube that has the messages. You can probably find any kind of tube that durable and thin, just wrap it in tape or paper to get the proper thickness.
UPDATE***i figured out that the tube that holds the lead in a bic mech pencil (bicmatic i think??) is exactly the same that i used, just crush the outside plastic, and you can get the tube, just cut about 5-7 cm off, wrap some paper or tape around the center, and connect (the paper/tape helps absorb the shock and creates additional friction to better make the connection)
Construction:
1. Take apart the easytouches, all you will need are the barrels (with the clicking mech)
2. Connect the two barrels with the connecting tube, i just lined i thin tube from a diff pen with some paper and shoved them together, make sure to make the connection even so that the cop and cog are rigth
3. Remove the clips, and sand off the removing plastic as well as the little nudge near the middle of the barrel
-- [Optional] Add some tape at the ends to prevent the clicking mechanism from moving back and forth when you spin
4. Attach the pilot g2 grips, with about 1 cm sticking out on each end
-- [Optional] I cut off 4 sections at the end
[/LIST]
PROS
* heavy
* balanced
* great for arounds, infinites, sonics, and most other tricks
* very affordable, easy to obtain in america
* VERY stable connection if done correctly (mine survived a 20 ft drop test without altering at all)
CONS
* "WTF is that pen"
* no writing ability
* makes a little bit of sound
...so tell me what you think. -

This mod looks all right for your first time modding. It'd be better if it could write though.
