I guessing that if anything, black ink pens would get much more use than other colors. If the black HGG grips are always harder to get off, it could be because the glue used for them might just be stronger than for other colors that would be assumed to have less writing use.

huh(1).gif Strange, my black HGGs slip right off. It's usually the other colours I have problems with.

Eh, get a paperclip, straighten it out but leave one small hook thing to grab onto and shove the paperclip under the grip to break the glue. Then use a towel to pull it off.

Just write with it for a week, and it'll be easier to remove. Although I doubt you have the patience to wait for a week.

Can find white everywhere... happy.gif Just pm to the german freak.

By the way, it depends on where they have been produced, german HGGs are glued, all imported one's are not, as far as my experiences go.

So it's ot a question of the colour, but where they have been produced originally.

Different hggs from different countries determine difficulty in getting it out.

I pour some boiling water in a bowl then put in the hgg(with ink tube removed ofcourse) - leave it for 5mins then use a towel to pull off the grip.

my first hggs were black ones..i couldn't pull them off no matter how hard i tried at first

i tried boiling it in hot water ..yeha it didnt come off

the only way taht worked for me was to straighten a paper clip and just keep trying to pry it under the grip

then just go around the barrel and loosen the glue

then try pulling and it should come off..

Anyone tried soaking the grip part in oil? I was thinking oil from the skin sips through the grip anyway... this might be the reason grips from used pens come off more easily.

    my tips for HGG management:
    1. always have at least 1-3 complete hgg's, or sunbursts for that matter, to use the ink. really, these are good pens and its a pity not to use them. as i was saying, keep 1-3 bodies to use, and you can always exchange the ink with the other hgg's you used.
    2. for easy grip removal, break the body. you always keep 1-3 bodies anyway to use the ink with, and without the grip you wont use the bodies too.
    3. if you want to keep it in one piece, my best method is to insert something like a pin (careful not to make holes in the grip) and spin it around, each time pushing it deeper and deeper. you can then pull the grip with some force

There are no HGGs in the U.S. unless you get really lucky and a dollar store in your area sells them. Otherwise you have to trade with someone from Germany or buy some online.

Yeah i noticed this too, but thankfully I have a foolproof way to get grips of.

    1. Shove a straightened paper clip under the grip.

    2. Circle it around the grip to loosen the glue.

    3. Run under hot water while repeating step 2.

    4. Dry only the outside of the pen with a towel and immediatly after pull of the grip with it.

    5. Yay!

    yeah.. hope it helps

i know. the first time i got an hgg i was like "this should be like an rsvp" Then I was like WTF THIS IS LIKE A G2"

put it in some hot water for a few minutes, and it should come off easy enough.

dont pick at it if you have long fingernails or youll probably rip it
