is using good camera make you better at pen spinning? well..you don't actually do harder tricks but if someone does a simple combo using high fps camera and someone else does a exactly the same combo using low fps camera, does that mean person using the better camera is better than the one using low fps?

well i tend to not pay as much attention to a video with a bad quality camera cause i just find it rather frustrating to watch >.<
that's probably not good of me to do, but i do it anyway -

Uhh I tend to notice the camera quality before the actual tricks so... A decent combo with a good camera seems to look better than a great combo with a bad camera. Bad way of judging things, but that's just the way I see things.
The one who's doing the better tricks/combos is well... The better one I guess.
When there are battles, sometimes you get people saying... Voted for _______, better camera quality. -

Agree, that's why I am saving to buy a good cam, haha...
Sometimes when the video quality is bad, you will automatically minus point for the spinners without you yourself noticing... -

it only really affects it if you have a really bad camera. low fps and bad quality i can handle not everyone can afford a good camera so their skills shouldn't be judged on that but if you have a really bad camera you shouldn't film at all and it does affect how good you look. imo

Bad camera doesn't show the good/bad things about your spinning
Good camera does
What does this mean? Unless you're good, bad camera is advantage for you -

I don't watch videos with bad quality. Smoothness is very important in PSing and a bad quality camera ruins that. It sucks out all the joy.

Only for videos....... but then that also depends on editing skill and all that.
Good Camera is not a 'skill', but i feel it is necessary.
in real life, if your eyesight is bad, it's your fault. -

Angle matters more then camera IMO.
You should focus on that more when it comes to filming. Anyways, FPS is delicious, but only if you are good. 15 fps actually makes noobier spinning look better, or at least look better to the laymen and spectators. -

For me bad camera quality doesn't show anything, maybe somebody just don't have money to buy good camera, or his good camera is break and he use bad camera. Of course, good camera quality make spinning looks better, but see at Bonkura's videos, his camera isn't best, but hes videos is so impressive.
As for battles, camera's quality can't affects on the judjing. In battles i look only on spinning, because it's pen spinning battle, not cameras or angles battle. But, sometimes bad angle and camera make combo so bad, because u can't see what tricks spinner do. -

Thats a good point. If someone only records with 15 or even 12(!) fps (mobile phone camera), then its hard for me to break down the combo when the spinner is rly fast.
But hey - the spinning counts, not the camera (but mine rocks 640*480, 30fps) -

The camera allows us to see what the spinner is doing.
